Fits as it should

The opening flap of my mailbox kept falling open as the roller assembly was worn. I thought I was going to have to buy a whole new mailbox as the big box stores near me did not carry this spare part.

Bought these to replace a broken latch. They fit perfectly and matched the existing screw holes perfectly.

Screws were wrong thread, but jut used the old ones

Too expensive for such a small latch , but the only one I could find on Amazon! Used the bottom part only and used the old fasteners as it is impossible to drill for the small scribes or the top part.

Don't bother with big box companies, they don't have these!

The picture shows machine screws with a flat tip. But the included screws are actually pointy wood screws. If you drive the included screws through the mailbox door, you will crossthread the mailbox and it will not last long and the correct screws will never work again. You will ruin your mailbox. If you need the screws too, get this product somewhere else, where you might get the correct screws. And the screws have to be just right because the holes go through the door and a screw that is too long will stick out by the handle...

Easy to install! Works as it should. Very pleased!
