I guess it is time to review this thing. I got mine in 2007. I'm about to buy another. The Gram/Oz button eventually got really finicky, and I lost the back battery plate. Technically, I don't need to replace it, but that finicky button drives me mad. But come on, it's been with me 18 years! Essential for meal prep and baking, I also use it for soap making. Not that great if you need to measure 4g of salt, or 2g of baking soda, it can fluctuate a little bit. It's a great size, fits in the back of my silverware drawer. Very light weight. Easy to read display. I really can't complain. It also doesn't drain batteries that much as it auto-shuts off. I think I've changed the batteries maybe twice?

I have this for a few months. I purchased this model based on the review and recommendation in Consumer Reports. It is very accurate even measuring just one gram. So great for measuring even very small amounts. When I first opened the package, i was disappointed because it looked really tiny, compared to my older one. But amazingly, the structure is such that I have no problem measuring vegetables which are 1-2 lbs. Most of the time i am able to place vegetables on the weighing plate and still easily able to visualize the display.

Haven’t used it yet but all the functions works according to the instructions during a test run. I am definitely going to like my new when I use it soon.

The food scale is not stainless steel but they both work great

used for bread machine once. not better than cup and spoon measurements, but maybe better for other recipes easy to use.

My new Escali digital food scale is wonderful. It measures every type of kitchen prep needed, in grams or ounces. So no more guessing for me. I put the batteries in, and the screen lit up. Just used it this morning for my baking needs. And I took a picture of the weight of a canning seal, just as an example.Very pleased, and highly recommended.
