Who You Gonna Call? Your friends to play this must play game!!!
Ghostbusters the board game! So I have been wanting this board game for awhile and honestly this thing did not disappoint. As a lifelong GB fan this game feels exactly like you are playing out the films. The game is based more around the IDW comics than the films so the design in characters and ghosts is a bit different. The game's plot is simple, NYC has been taken over by ghouls, demons, and baddies and who you gonna call? Why the Ghostbusterd of course! You are tasked with taking out all the ghosts as one of the four original Ghostbusters who each have their own unique set of skills.Gameplay is pretty simple with players having 2 moves. You can either move or attack, after each players turn the ghosts get their move with you rolling an event die. Depending on the outcome of the event die a ghost can come out of a portal. If all ghosts come out of the Spirit world into ours through the portals you lose the game. You also have the ability to drive the Ecto 1 and use the Ecto's on board trapping system to send the ghouls back to where they came from. Combat is pretty fun with you having to roll to hit (similar to DnD) and throwing a capture stream on a ghost. More powerful ghosts require higher rolls and more capture streams. Boss battles require certain amounts of capture streams (example one boss might require two from two different ghostbusters). The game is tons of fun and can be played either solo or with up to four people however it's far more fun with four people. Since the game is co-op it's definitely good to have a strategy on how best to take out the baddies and save NYC. If you are a Ghostbusters super fan like me or are just looking for a fun board game to add to your collection I definitely recommend Ghostbusters The Board Game!

This game will take A LOT of time to learn. Like, HOURS
Love, love, love The Ghostbusters movies and thought we would try out this board game. We've read the very detailed novel-like manual and rules on two different days and we still haven't played the game yet. There are SO many options of things to do with the characters in the game that it's massively confusing. Honestly I don't want a game that takes this much work to figure out. I would not recommend this game to anyone else, unless you're the sort who doesn't mind investing THAT MUCH time into just figuring out a game that's supposed to be just entertainment occasionally.

Great game, very quick to learn and endless strategies to employ
Arrived with two broken “ghost pieces” and 1 ghostbuster was very disfigured. Aside from those errors which are a bit annoying, the game itself is amazing

It's fun Ghostbusters adventure, may have few damaged figures.
Great for ghost busters fans, good for board gamers. The double trouble figures came little busted.

I am a fan of ghostbusters, so I can't be objective!
The game is nice and funny, the ecto 1 is accurate and looks cool painted. The game is the same as the movie but the characters are from the comic book. Some people were not happy with the game-play but the ghost behavior is exactly as the movie if you check it, the ghost never attacks and just reacts to the plasma gun (only slimmer attacks) The components of the game are good. I am happy with the purchase and I played it regularly.

A light co-op dungeon crawl game
This is a fun game and great way to start someone off with miniatures or a dungeon crawl (if a minor one). There are a lot of miniatures. Love the semi-clear blue color for the ghosts. There are several senerios to play but wished that there were more tiles or a few more senerios to play. It is a fun game if you are a ghostbusters fan. Looking forward to the Ghostbusters II game when it is out. If you are a die hard dungeon crawler person (like gloomhaven, kingdom death, massive darkness, etc...) then this game may be too easy for you and may not like it. This is a good one to get people into those games as it is quick to learn and fun to play. Have only played it 2 player but still a lot of fun. Think about adding this to your collection for a light and quick co-op game.

Fun game - prefect for big fans of the original movie
I got this game for my brother - a huge Ghostbuster fan - as a Christmas present, and we ended up playing together all break. It's a fun game that involves a lot of dice rolling to see how your characters fare. It's a cooperative game, where everyone works together towards a common goal, and each level gets progressively harder. I liked that there was several different scenarios and a full game is broken up into a few shorter games - this makes it easy to break and come back to later, as you'll be setting up a new board.Definitely requires a little learning, but there is a video that goes over all the basic rules and helps quite a lot, for those of us who have a hard time reading directions out of a booklet! Fun game and great price - my budget didn't allow for the $80 price most game-specialty stores had, but this was much more do-able!

Really easy mechanics to learn
This board game is anything but boring it is very fun and exciting to play and the level up system is similar to the one they used in the Gameboy sd. If you have three other friends to play with you this is something to give a try

Superb game
I had not been part of the build up on Kickstarter so I did not see all the hype surrounding this game. I purchased it as an alternative to the standard board games that you can buy these days. My girlfriend and I bought this just before a long cottage holiday so we had plenty of time to play. The instructions were detailed and took a few readings to understand, we found it better to start the game with a scenario and just get used to the rules as you play.Games can last between 45 minutes to an hour and can build a great team rapport between players, you each have character cards that have traits and you have to work together to capture the ghosts. We ended up playing this game every day of our holiday and we enjoyed going through all of the scenarios.Whilst my girlfriend and I never lost any of the scenarios I can imagine it being quite frustrating considering the game length and the setup time to reset everything after, so plan your moves carefully! This is one of the best board games I have played as there is a lot of detail and a lot of thought to go into it, but that isn't to say it is not fun. The scenario cards are varied and you have the chance to destroy some of the franchise's best bad guys including Slimer and Stay Puft.Like Lego this game provides you with the chance to make your own scenarios and if you can track down the expansions that were available from the Kickstarter campaign (you have done well if you can find these) you can have endless varieties of games with friends. Whilst this is definitely a strong case for the game I can't help but wish it was maybe half the price it is currently going for.In conclusion this is a great board game for friends, it brings back those nostalgic moments from the films and there is plenty to keep you occupied for a long time to come.

Would thoroughly recommend
This is my first foray into board gaming (previously been video games only) and I can't recommend it highly enough! The game pieces are really outstanding...and for a new player; the rules and gameplay mechanics are very well defined and logical to follow. The breadth of scenarios and campaigns will keep players going for a long time I'm sure!If i was to have any minor gripe, it would be that the level 1, 2, and 3 (ie "usual") ghosts are all very similar in appearance due to all being made from the same coloured blue plastic. Some sort of further differentiation would have really added to the gameplay.

Get Bustin those Ghosts!
Fun game, took a while to understand instructions. My only woe was some of the ghost pieces had to be fixed as broken/bent.
