Curious George's First Day of School

We used this for when my son was about to start daycare and it was a great book for that! It introduced the classroom type setting and being dropped off and picked up and Curious George is always fun to follow since he’s always up to something!

All my life, this sad little monkey made me feel better. I could identify with him, and I could identify with the man in the yellow hat. Maybe that's the genius of H.A.Rey -- when we read a Curious George book, we can believe, no matter how much we screw up, no matter how much life hurts, the man in the yellow hat will make everything work out all right. Likewise, we can believe the same about others when they fail us. We can be their man in the yellow hat. I suppose, really, we need kindness in these days, H.A. Rey's books ooze kindness.Take a quick read! Read it to a child -- only takes 5 to 20 minutes. It'll be some of the best time you have ever spent.

Really really cute book. My nephew is starting kindergarten and I thought this would be a good story for him since he loves the Curious George movie. He isn't one to sit and enjoy listening to stories to often, but we are trying to change that. He actually day and enjoyed every minute of this book and pointed out illustrations he liked. He said he loved the story and he relayed what happened afterward remembering many moments of the story. Great buy.

幼稚園の読み聞かせに使いました。ジョージが学校にスペシャルゲストとして招かれるものの、調子に乗って大失敗…でも最後はめでたしめでたし、と、ジョージシリーズではお決まりの展開です。序盤の赤と青を混ぜて紫、赤と黄色でオレンジ、青と黄色で緑、を子どもたちに答えさせながら読むと心を掴めます。ちなみに全部混ぜると…？のところは、黒！rainbow！などの意見が出ました→実際にはa mess!なのですが。読み終わった後「どうしてジョージを子どもたちは手伝ったの？」という質問が出て、自然な形で「共感する気持ち（ジョージが悲しいからみんなも悲しい気持ちに）」「協力すること（ジョージを助けてあげよう、みんなで掃除すると早く終わる）」などを子どもたちが自分から学びとることができたように思います。とても良い本でした。英語も難しいものはないので分かりやすいと思います。Great book for preschoolers. I brought this book to my son’s class as a mystery reader and it was a great hit. We could learn “empathy” and “cooperation” from the book - kids feel sad because George was feeling terrible. They decided to help George to clean the classroom together and the mess is all clean quickly! I could see everyone enjoyed the book and connected what they learn as a good behavior to this book.

super e consigliato per inglese dei vostri figli . le storie di curious george hanno il merito di essere brevi, divertenti, illustrate, stampate a caratteri grandi (per i primi tentativi di lettura in inglese) , varie, numerose (creando aspettativa per la nuova storia nei vostri figli), molto economiche, da collezionare.insomma: consigliato assolutamente come primo step nell'insegnamento dell'inglese a bambini da i 3 anni in su

Havent' yet had time to read it to the kids but see above. George's adventures are always well appreciated by the children (3-6) in our classroom at story time.
