Very cool device, quality and ingenious product! - I'm sold!
Take time to do the research:I spent many hours researching mini projectors, had a ton of browser tabs open to compare the multitude of mini/micro projectors that are available and decided to purchase the Lumex BeamPod Mini DLP Pocket Projector. what was I really looking for? I was looking for something ultra-portable that I could use in medium (about 20-25 people) to small (5-10) student groups, something that had versatility and good projection quality, easy to hook up. I teach a variety of topics in several industry venues/types and having such portability is a plus. What I also wanted to do is have flexibility in input sources: Composite, HDMI, USB, VGA with compatibility with AnyCast or Miracast to take the screen from my LG Gpad8.3 tablet and project a PowerPoint presentation from it "wirelessly."The Lumex BeamPod Mini DLP Pocket Projector does all of this (not simultaneously) and it meets the needs I had outlined for myself.Projector Output:The 640X480 resolution looks pretty good projected. The 65 Lumens illumination is better than I expected. I also like that it is LED technology (I am a fan of LED tech). I was worried reading many reviews of other brands that 65 Lumens would not be bright enough. I had a medium lit room (incandescent and LED lights, not fluorescent office lighting), and the projected image was just fine (I was even using a video with a dark background.) Speaking of videos, there was NO (again NO) video lag at all.Miracast? YES!I was broadcasting from my tablet into an AnyCast HDMI adapter (which was very easy to set up by the way (I did need to purchase a mini HDMI male to HDMI female adapter cable for this). So far it has met all of my criteria and I will post more as I get more accustomed to it and try out more of the features in detail. All the adapters come with it except the one I needed for the AnyCast module. I was able to broadcast my tablet screens via Miracast to the projector easily. Just followed the AnyCast adapter instructions and the Lumex projector set up smoothly.A Negative? Hard to say but…If I would be pushed for a negative aspect it would be battery life. It does not last long; about 60 to 90 minutes and it trickle drains in storage. It can be connected to AC and does really well plugged in. It gets warm but I have not had it on for more than an hour so far (was down to 2 bars), so I could not tell it is gets really hot yet. Will know more of this as I use it more.General Set Up – A snap!Setting it up was easy. When I took it out of the Amazon Box, I charged it up. When it was charged (took about an hour), I plugged in a flash drive (I had some videos on this drive), plugged it into the supplied USB adapter cable and in the palm of my hand streamed a video on the wall of my Sons’ bedroom! Only took seconds to hook up. The "touch-screen controls at the top of the unit are easy to use and on-screen prompts are intuitive. The remote works well also, from what I've done so far. I have a lot of plans for this projector and it has worked out to my satisfaction and then some.Think it through:If you decide to purchase it, really think through what you want it for. If you are looking for HiDef, highest resolution, something for large venues, bright projection in daylight conditions, then you will want to spend the thousand or so dollars and get the high-end projector. I wanted simple, easy to set up with a little snazz and that is what I now have!Price – reasonable for the type of device I purchased:The price? With Amazon Prime shipping I really cannot complain, the price was great for such a device (a Mini DLP projector that fits in your hand...!)If/when I have time I may post pics and a video on it.Very cool device, quality and ingenious product!

My two cents
Started out ok. I originally hoped to use this as a second monitor from my laptop as a large Stock chart trading screen. Quickly found even at 1080 that this was not going to work for the small details in a stock chart. Fair enough, so it sat on my desk for a couple months unused until I decided to bring it home and use with my Roku. First off the room needs to be really dark. So either night time or heavy curtains viewing only. It worked ok for 5 nights. I got up to adjust the focus and touched the front right corner near the (not on, but near) the lens and all of the sudden the screen went black and white with lines all throughout. Off and on, reboot, unplug, reboot, etc. no matter what I did, I never got my screen back.Nothing but vertical lines all the way across (in black and white). How would one carry this around in a bag or briefcase and have any confidence that you could rely on this tiny projector to work even when stored in the soft case that comes with it if the slightest of touch near the lens would knock it out? Personally I could not. So for the near 300 dollar price tag, no I could not recommend that someone buy this product. Considering I let it sit for a couple of months before putting it in to use, I doubt there is any warranty (I will verify) but I would not buy another. Just my two cents.....

Good for presentations, not so much for home theater type use
It's great as a mobile projector for presentations and such. The little tripod is a very nice touch and allows for nearly infinite angle adjustments. That said, don't fool yourself into trying to use it as a tiny home theater projector like I did, though. The native resolution is a disappointing 480p, and the digital upscaling looks very grainy, at least with a PS4 driving it. Also, the focus wheel is easily moved, even by vibrations from being mounted on the same wall as the speakers, so it loses focus pretty easily. All in all, I'll probably be getting another projector for the media room and using this one for presentations and such when I'm on the road.

Do NOT buy this as a business projector - you will be disappointed!!
Do NOT buy this as a business projector - you will be disappointed. While this projector did work and did project it was not bright enough in a lighted meeting room to be able to read. Lights had to be turned off which was difficult for others to take notes during presentation. This projector does not work well with MS Excel or other spreadsheets!!! We tried all the way down to an 800 resolution but it was bad too. I'm sure its just fine for projecting pictures and video but not spreadsheets. Unfortunately, I was delayed returning it due to travel and am now stuck with it.

Projector
The unit had some major problems. The home button didn't work as the remote even after I replaced the battery. I sent it back.I'm sure it was just a bad unit. I might try it again at some future time.

This product is amazing. Wireless has Bluetooth and picture quality is great
I recently bought this item and realized that the next product up was more in line with what I needed for presentations, I called Lumex directly and spoke with Eitan. He spent the time with me to return this item and upgrade me to the Lumex SmartPod. This product is amazing. Wireless has Bluetooth and picture quality is great. Both product and customer service are way above and beyond my expectations.
