These key fobs work very well and were easily programmed by my local locksmith.

Bought this for our 2011 Chevy Equinox. Programming was simple (from youtube) and fobs came in perfect condition. Since they come blank, I Took it to a key cutter and haven't had any problems with either of them. No complaints.

I was hesitant to purchase these because of mixed reviews. When I got my used car, it only came with a key and no fob so if I locked the car, the car alarm would go off until I put the key into the ignition. Also, a lot of reviews were talking about having to take pins out of other fobs to put in this one so I wasn't sure if this came as just the case, or the whole fob.I ordered the two fobs and they were delivered within 2 days. They seemed pretty well made so I was happy about that. I took them to my local auto zone along with my actual key so they could laser copy it. Only cost me $3 each which was great.I put the original key in the ignition and only turned it so the radio turned on (do not start it) Then I turned it off and took that key out. I then took one of the key fobs that were made, put it into the ignition and only turned it so the radio turned on (same as before). I then turned it off and took that key out. That's it. My locks lock and unlock. If you have automatic car starter, just unlock, then lock your car, then hold the circled arrow button in until your car starts.I would definitely recommend these fobs. For those that say their fobs stopped working, it's it possible that they need new batteries?

Hello: This product is exactly what is described. This is the real deal. There are no issues with the electronics or battery compartment. There are no issues with the key thickness. The locksmith had the key carved in under 10 minutes. The longest time spent by the locksmith was booting his CNC computer. The key is simple to program after the key is carved. My ideal situation would have been to use the original carved metal key and insert it into a new FOB. The key FOB should be made with a detachable metal key. This would solve many key FOB issues such as a broken key tip but the clicker still works; or the clicker has stopped working but the metal key still starts the car and opens the driver door. Either way, this option requires a locksmith after your purchase and this can add $20 to $60 extra for a set of carved keys.

I avoid writing reviews normally, positive or negative. However, my experience with this key fob, and the total lack of any support for them deserves to be called out. After programing my the car to recognize the fob many times over, it does not matter…at some random point the fob will be unresponsive and your stuck,unable to unlock the car. I’d say it was the cars faul (like it forgot the new fob), but I discovered that if I pry the battery cover off, remove the battery, and reinstall, the fob works again as the car respond to all commands. If the problem was the car, it would not care about the fob and whether or not the battery was pulled and replaced. I hate this fob, please save your self the Afro action and move on.

Ordered these and saved around $400 and a lot of time at a dealership. Took the blanks to a local true value (which they cut for free) watced a quick you tube video and bam, done. All you do is take the current key you have that works and start the car, after 5 seconds remove the old key and start the car with the new key, leave it for 5 seconds while it programs and your done. Seriously it's that simple.

(Not my first time doing this. thanks Chevy.)Fob is smooth, no decal or cutout for one on back side.Batteries included.Get yourself some superglue, these things don't stay together like your factory fob.(None of the aftermarket ones do)If you plan on reusing your factory key shank, glue this together right out of the package, let it sit.(These are a pain to put back together properly. 3 springs for the key action.)I used my original fob and key shank to program the new key.Remove the roll pin from old fob, glued new fob together.took both fobs to the car and left the shank in the ignition. swapped the fobs during the programming process using same shank.when I was finished, I put the shank in the new fob and inserted the roll pin. good as new.The laundry monster ate my original fob, it went through laundry, battery would die in 2 days or less.

Needed replacement flip key because buttons wear and came out. Took advice from reveiws and took to a lock smith to have cut and I was able to program new flip keys myself. Cost to cut for me was $65 for each.

Si me sirvió pero las indicaciones que vienen con el control para programar no sirve, no funciona la página de Internet y tuve que buscar en YouTube como se programaba y tuve fortuna y lo pude lograr, dure 30 minutos en programarlo pero lo logré!
