Worthington 303953 100-Pound Steel Propane Cylinder With 10% Valve And Collar

Needed a propane cylinder and looked locally but couldn't find one. AMZN had it with free delivery for a very reasonable price. I've seen reviews snarking that it came without the company logo printed on it and with scratches, etc. sustained during delivery. Come on! It's a stinking propane tank! It's going to live a hard life. Sure, mine came in a cardboard box protecting to botton 1/3 of the tank, and the valve guard was dinged. Big deal. A few taps of a hammer fixed that. The powder coating is very tough and very resistant to the elements. For what it is, it's a good product at a great price, especially with free delivery.

Fantastic company and product

Based on previous reviews, I was a bit skeptical about the quality of the tank that I would receive but the price was right so I ordered it. Well, it seems that someone read the reviews and changed things. I received a brand new tank that was covered with an Amazon box and taped in place. The valve is brand new and not damaged in any way. I took it to Costco where they are charging 1.99, which is 50% cheaper than Uhaul. No questions asked, it was hooked up and filled. I have to say, it is heavy and a bit awkward to lift when it is full. I am impressed with the way this was packaged and I am glad I took the Chesnee.

I received this tank, it looks to be of great construction/ quality, unfortunately FedEx once again has delivered a large item in terrible condition. It would be nice if they would at least ship this full covered in cardboard to avoid scratches along the route. Mine arrived with a large ding along the top and many scratches on the sides. Be aware this has a 10% valve, not a OPD valve, but is still DOT approved for transport, so no worries about getting it filled. Overall good tank, but Amazon needs to step up their protection for large items. Just because it's big and heavy doesn't mean it is bombproof!

I liked this tank so much that I bought a second one to use with my 5th wheel that we are currently living in. It's so much better to fill these tanks every month as opposed to filling them every few days (30 pound tanks). I just wished that they came with the correct adapter to hook directly to my 5th wheel. It was however easy to order an adapter to rectify this. The tank(s) operate as advertised and allow me to spend my after work hours watching TV as opposed to going out to get the 30 pound tanks refilled. Well packaged and delivered before the scheduled as well.

I might have gotten lucky, but my tanks arrived without any damage. Fedex delivered them to the front door. I had originally been looking on Craigslist to buy a 125 gal bulk tank used for $250. A quick call to my local propane vendor gave me a cost per gallon delivered of $1.50 more per gal than a "will call" price at a gas station! I was initially hesitant to get them filled with 25 gals but with good lifting practices and a moving dolly it's not such a big deal. Like others, I wish the valves had the "quick attach" fittings but if you just buy a cheap adjustable wrench from Harbor freight and tether it by the hookup point it'll always be handy.

It was compact in size as far as being slender which allowed perfect room for installing. It's also the perfect size for the heater I purchased. I like the safety features. I purchased it for a large camper being converted to a small home. It's great. I would recommend this to anyone who is or isn't a "do it your self person" The name Worthington speaks for it's self. Good Quality and great price.
