Still perfect
Although many more complex timing ICs are available now this is still a great old standard part by a great manufacturer.

555 timer IC works in my circuit
My students and I use these 8 pin dual inline 555 timer integrated circuits to make low frequency clock pulses for my protoype electronics. These reliable ICs are through-the-hole devices which allow breadboarding them into my solderless breadboards - to be extremely easy. The devices work as specified, were well packaged and were reliable in my electronic designs. I received the order on time in good packaging. I will purchase more of these ICs in the future.

They do what they say on the box.
These little guys look brand new, every single one I have used has worked flawlessly.

These are great little timers and they seem to pop up in a large number of projects.
These are great little timers and they seem to pop up in a large number of projects. I have not felt with semiconductors that much in the past, but I'm learning a lot about them now. These little devices are used a lot. Most of the projects I have use this device. Even had to order more because my stock is running low (2). Very versatile and more common than I expected. To quote Tony the Tiger, THERE GREAT!

Work as expected. 1 minor drawback
They work as expected. My only problem with them is the feet are too wide for my breadboard. I have to bend them in slightly the 1st time I use one. They fit snugly.
