Technics quality has improved 10-fold since the 80s and 90s: this kit proves it...
The final word: If you're a young [at heart?] Lego fanatic; a mechanically minded person who loves intricate details; or an adult who's niece/nephew/grandkid has a heart shaped like Legos...this is a good kit for the money.I purchased this as my son's big gift for his 6th birthday. He's been obsessed with legos for ~18 months, and this was my way of rewarding him and acknowledging his success (advanced lego set for 12-yr olds). I knew he would need my help in some areas, so we could do it together.Main takeaways if you're considering purchasing this as a GIFT for someone:1) Make SURE they love Legos, AND have the patience to assemble larger kits with more pieces....Someone who struggles to do a 200-piece Lego set in one sitting isn't going to be up for a Technics set.2) cleanliness and organization are king.We used one of my Husky parts bin organizers and separated the pieces by color to make them easier to manage ($10 at Home Depot). Finding the right lego part is a breeze. Cleanup is effortless: just close the lid and store it away.3) If your child can't keep track of their Lego pieces, this kit is not for them. Losing a piece on a set this involved means you likely won't be able to reach the finish line and have a functional [model] motorcycle.4) The included instructions are excellent, and they can help you gauge your child's attention span/concentration.5) The finished product, like many modern Lego sets, has a lot of unique pieces that really enhance the realism of the model.6) Legos are pricey once you go beyond the beginner sets. I didn't like the ~$70-80 price tag, but the ROI is excellent. My son was thrilled when he opened the gift, and he talks about it regularly. It creates an experience where I can help him when he gets stuck, but sit back and supervise while he learns and advances his skills (with hands-on work, following instructions, etc)So far, 5-stars overall.Cheers! 🍻 ✌️(and please like if you found this review helpful)

Very cool kit.
Took 4 to 5 hours to assemble and the hourly therapy rate was a steal.Well thought out kit. So cool to see the four cylinders move and the gearbox work. I really wish I could afford the bmw :(This is the next best kit and it's a great value for the money. Thank you lego. From the 1984 me.I'm still enjoying the creativity.

Technic Perfection
I have been building Technic, Nifeliz and Xingbao (sold under the name Wolfbush on Amazon) car models and wanted to add this motorcycle to my collection. It took about 3-1/2 hours to build, had all the parts and the instructions could not have been more clear with copious detailed renderings from several angles. I wish Lego would get crazy and offer many more 1:8 scale car models. Their engineering and finished look are beyond compare. One thing I really like about Official Lego models is that you can pick them up, move them around and display without worrying they will get bumped and fall apart - can’t say that about the “off” brands. I have 4 Nifeliz models and 2 of them had missing or defective parts. The 2 Xingbao models were really frustrating the first one was missing 61 pieces and the second one an entire step! Lego is my “happy place” where things work as advertised and it’s a pleasure to build the models. Ramp it up Lego! You can’t go wrong with this Ducati, it’s great!

Really fun, even for adults
Brought back the fun times of my youth building legos. Its impressive how much these have changed! The build involves creating a open case engine with a 2 speed gear box (neutral, 1st, 2nd) so you can see the pistons moving at different speeds. There are also some unique implementations done in the build such as using two lego swords as a function (wont spoil what they are used for). The motorcycle also features full suspension and a stand. I do wish the stand fit the bike better but it works. Another point I wish was better was the instructions. Some views are hard to tell and the color job was poor when it comes to black and gray. I had to pull the build apart a few times cause I installed the wrong piece.

Honest review as someone who can hardly afford Lego
I recently got my hands on the Lego Technic Ducati Motorcycle set and here's my honest review as a person on a tight budget.Firstly, let's talk about the price. For someone who's trying to make ends meet, this set is definitely on the pricier side. I had to save up for quite some time to be able to afford it. So, if you're looking for an affordable Lego set, this one might not be the best option for you.Moving on to the build itself, I have to say that it was quite challenging. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, but it took me a long time to complete. However, I do appreciate the intricate details and the overall design of the motorcycle. It definitely has cool functions like a high-end Ducati bike, not so much the exact look though. But, when it comes to the functionality, I wasn't disappointed. The wheels really turn smoothly and the steering mechanism works as well as I expected. Also, the bike doesn't falls apart easily if you try to play with it too much. So, it's really something you can use as a toy.Overall, if you're a big fan of Lego Technic sets and you have the money to spare, then the Ducati Motorcycle set might be worth it for you. However, if you're on a tight budget or looking for a more functional toy, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
