Almost perfect, Very Well Done
Love this gadget, have cooked several whole chickens and several pound of sliced pork butt over fire pit.It needs however two things:1) It should come with a screw in center rod with an eye for hanging and transport. I added my own M8 stainless rod and eye nut.2) I should like to see 9 more threaded ports in the base plate for various skewer configurations along with option to buy more skewers.( which by the way are solid with very sharp points). The layout of the other ports I should like would be 3 more meshed the 3 original non center ports to complete a hex pattern. Also 6 more equidistant around the circumference about 1" from the edge but offset from inner hex. Might even like one to have base be 2-3" bigger in diameter.

Very nice!
Just made the pork for Al pastor with this. Spikes are thick and sturdy and remove easily for clean up. No complaints.

Fantastic on the Kamado Joe
We bought 3 different versions to try and settled on this one. We eat ALOT of food as a familyOf 5 and I had some concerns this wouldn’t make enough but I was wrong. We even only use one skewer. We chose this one because while the other 2 had different pole lengths, handles, and a little metal raised plate, all of them had a flimsy center skewer and one of them was even cross threaded. This one has a “commercial” vibe to it in that the plate is very thick and the rod is 2-3X thicker than the other options. It also threaded perfectly.Cleanup the first time was difficult. I got smart and wrapped the base in tinfoil for round 2. Some things leaked between the tinfoil but cleanup was no big deal. You could easily get 6lbs+ of lamb on here or 15-20 chicken breasts with all 3 skewers. It does fit in our oven (barely) as well but even with the convection I’m afraid it won’t heat evenly.I used an onion 1/2 at the bottom and top helped keep the meat raised up a bit and protected to the top from burning. In our Kamado Big Joe I used the deflector plates and the grates at the top level and the Temp around 350 degrees. Cook time averaged about 90 minutes for both 6-7 chicken breasts and 2.5lbs of lamb.I really prefer this over the rotisserie for meats that have marinades. I also find this to be much easier since I don’t have to constantly check for flare ups and things. I will say overall the Rotisserie is king but not everyone has access to one or the time to watch and adjust. As long your temp is stable and you have a good Bluetooth thermometer, this really is easy to use.
