Mesh is easily torn.
I love everything about this fly mask. The color is a vibrant Royal blue. The size Medium is a perfect fit, just enough stretch that I can easily put in on her face and over her ears with out a struggle. But, after day two I noticed a small tear in the mesh by her left eye. Day three there was an addition tear on her cheek closer to the seam on the same side. Even though it has holes, it is still doing its job - keeping the flies off. I removed the mask for a 24 hour break after day three and she has no signs of rub anywhere. The fifth day of wear I noticed that the black piping seam by the ears is torn. I definitely think that there can be improvements made to the mesh and overall quality of the product, but I am still thrilled to have something for her that is comfortable and provides relief from the flies!FYIFresca is a gentle mare in a outdoor paddock with little items to get hung up on. So I feel that this particular mesh is too fragile.I have additional masks that I purchased for my geldings on my 80 ranch. Gonna try them tomorrow. There is lots that they can get torn on so it should be interesting. Will post an update.

Didn't take long for them to rip.
I love how snug these fly masks are but, unfortunately, they didn't hold up and ripped after a couple of weeks. I was hoping they would last all summer.

Great Quality
I've used quite a few different brands of stretchy fly masks and I quite like this brand. It's affordable and the fit is fine. One of the biggest issues with stretchy fly masks are the eye holes. MANY masks are sold with mesh that's designed to be way too close to the horse's eyes, causing irritation or even injury. These masks have darts in the mesh around the eye holes which helps keep the mesh away from the eyes and there's enough material to keep the mesh away from the eyes as well. I personally like to turn my masks inside out so that the seams of the mask aren't touching the horse. I bought the horse size for my 16hh QH and it fits great. My mask arrived in very nice packaging as well, which was a nice touch.I just want to also say for those folks who aren't very familiar with stretchy masks: holes are probably going to happen. Horses love to shove their faces into things and they'll likely put a couple holes into the masks after awhile. It's no big deal. The tradeoff for getting a light-weight, breathable, no vision-impairment, tight-fitting mask is that the materials are naturally not as durable as a triple-ply coated traditional mask. Got holes in the mesh? Grab a bit of superglue, dab it on the cut edges, and let it dry between wax paper. Holes in the lycra? Sew it up or superglue it. No big deal.

Horse is able to remove it
I love the color, since it matches his fly boots and tail bag. He was able to remove it, but this is the norm for him. It probably would help to attach it to a halter. It has not torn anywhere though, so it is till usable, and being lighweight with plenty of room for his eyelashes, I can only assume he hates anything on his face. Not the mask's fault!

My horse got it off a few times
I loved the fit of it initially, just be cautious If your horse is crafty or has friends that can help pull it off!

Would not purchase again
It ripped the first week of use in the ears. Little over a week snags around the eyes. The net is not durable enough for long term. I could use other fly mask for at least to fly seasons.

These are great masks but don’t last long.
I love these masks. I wish they were a little more durable.

Wish the netting was a bit better quality
Overall this is one of the better masks, I should know I have now purchased 7 of them, all for the same horse. The design is great but the execution could be better. Now please bear in mind I am putting these on an 1800 pound Percheron teddy bear that loves to scratch, and there in lies the rub, no pun intended. The netting is far too light weight to take ANY rubbing without snagging or out right tearing. And in the case of my boy the eye netting could be fuller to keep his eye lashes from being constantly in the netting. We won't even go in to the ear netting that's gone in the first 15 minutes, I have just started cutting that off from the get go. I am buying the largest units made, perhaps on a smaller horse these issues are not issues at all, do not know. I DO recommend the mask I really do, in my case they just come up a bit short of being a 5 star item.
