In case you are wondering why there are no other close up photos posted, it is because they don’t want to show you the poor quality of this set. I was already suspicious when I see the same photo used to advertise the product of what appears to be at least 3 other companies which you can see here: Luxury King/CalKing Grey Checkered Quilted Wrinkle Free Microfiber 3 Piece Coverlets Set Here: Bold sophistication is this 3 piece Full/Queen Checkered Quilted coverlet set; 100% cozy Microfiber fabric in dazzling Grey color; Hypoallergenic and machine washable Or Here: TNK Luxury Checkered Quilted Wrinkle Free Coverlet, Bedspread Set, Reversible Quilt (Gray, King) Hint: It’s all the same made in China productOn removing from the bag, first, the poor quality was readily apparent. As you can see in my photos, there was no attempt to even keep the quilted squares horizontal and in line with the seams. Also, the stitching itself is low quality. Then I noticed the fabric which is scratchy and feels how I would expect a tent or a duffel bag to feel, not the soft “microfiber” I was imagining. I have thrown it in the wash and am hoping it softens up somewhat. Also, there was no laundry care information on the tag.I can say that at least the color (light grey) was true to the original photo and it looks like a coverlet. It also looks ok from a distance. I received all the pieces as advertised, so there's that. I did not have any issues with the size which was more than adequate for my queen size bed.I took a chance on this item because I needed something fast and because of the glowing reviews and had to keep it because I had a guest coming and needed something on the bed. However, I will be replacing this with something of higher quality as soon as feasible. Unfortunately when it comes to bedding you get what you pay for.Update:: I would like to update and note that it was much softer after washing though still not as soft as I initially had expected!

I absolutely love this bedding! Soft, not stiff at all. Colorfully vibrant, lightweight, & impressive quality, aaaaaand best of all--- affordable! I also own a Royal Hotel Queen size set of the "Viola" print that I purchased early summer of 2018. Ooooops oh wow--I just realized in my uploaded photos of the Kg sz Dahlia print... Uhhh I put the quilt on our bed sideways. Oh my,I never cease to amaze myself. Lol, Sigh....I'll carry on. You'll get the idea.We have a queen size platform bed that my hubs built. Eventually will have trundle type drawers underneath & it'll be painted. The hubs was adamant that if I picked out a bedding set, he kindly requested it to be a King size because all of our pillows except 1 are Kg size (eyeroll). I stuffed the Kg sz into the standard Viola print shams of the old set & it didn't look bad & the zippers held fine. But, whatever, I was completely fine with his Kg sz request. Realistically, the majority of people wouldn't care to have a bdrm as bold & colorful & eccentric as mine is. Nor have dressers or furniture as bold & bright as I've refurbed & painted mine to be.I mentioned that I've owned the Q sz "Viola" set about 2yrs. (Posted a couple pics no flash). If you're unsure of sizing & can't decide between K & Q. The Queen size goes about 2 inches past my 11/12" mattress side to side & same at the foot of the bed, depending how far you fold down the head of bed W/pillows. I obviously don't need a bedskirt, as we don't have a box spring. I did use a bedskirt with my old Q size bed frame & box spring. I personally would prefer this new set to be a Queen, but I obviously pick my battles. Most people want a ton of extra length in the sides of their Q sz bed. Go with a King sz then.The Kg size quilt (hahaha, I'm still laughing at myself for having it on sideways, wow, sorry) you'll see it holds beautiful pattern/color. The 2 yr old Q size Viola set I own, does fade a bit over time w/ washing in cold water but it's still pretty. These quilt sets wash & dry incredibly well. No bunching, rips, snagging, color bleeding whatsoever. I love the zipper in each of the pillow shams. The King Dahlia print set, once I opened, I heavily misted with a water bottle & tossed in the dryer W/a few dryer sheets on lowest heat for about 30-40ish min to take the folds & creases from packaging. Some people wash theirs prior, but I didn't want to chance any fading, slight as it may be.The photos I've taken & posted are of our new King size "Dahlia" print set. I love the colors, & you'll see I have a very colorful room. (aside from the ugly, 15+ old carpet, but we have 4 rescue cats & a yellow lab).The photos I've taken w/ natural daylight, overcast day & lamps. The colors are absolutely beautiful. We live in Maine so the temp gets pretty cold. I have a Sunbeam mattress pad warmer in & a velour L.L.Bean blanket underneath. I think this set has decent weight & warmth. I don't care for alt or feather down & duvet covers as I hate feathers poking me & it drives me crazy for the bed to look lumpy. I plan on buying another Viola set in King for the spring & summer & upcycling the old Viola set into something else . I absolutely love the quality, colors, durability. Very pleased & would recommend to anyone. Hope this helps anyone who is unsure or debating on what to purchase. I apologize for the lengthy novel. But, it's tough to gauge bedding in general as stock photos are in most cases misleading. Royal Hotel's are true to color/print. Also, most people's bedrooms are darker W/O natural light which is misleading with patterns & true colors.

The first thing I noticed about the coverlets was that the colors were not exactly the same as the picture. The colors were more "washed out". However, when I put them on the bed, I liked them. We have twin XL mattress' and I wanted something more like a bedspread so I ordered queen size. I had to hand sew one side with a 5" hem but they turned out great. Thank you to the people who mentioned being careful when putting the pillow in the shams because they had "zipper troubles". Since I was very careful because of the tip, I did not have any problem. My picture actually came out more "like" the picture on amazon even though I thought the colors different. Maybe this is just the way it photographs. I thought there was more gold in the designs but it turned out some of that is actually a lime green. Some people did not like the thickness of the coverlet but it is exactly as other coverlets and is not a comforter which is fat. This was exactly the weight I wanted. The stitching was adequate and did not look likely to fall out as some people worried. I felt they are a really reasonable price for what is received.

My family, and I say family, because my husband, 10 year old daughter, and 2 small dogs can all pile under this blanket on our king sized bed (during movie nights) and this quilt still hangs down far enough on both sides to cover all of us and not leave a cold draft! The picture doesn't really do it justice either - the colors are much more vibrant, and the reverse side has less of a busy pattern but is equally as beautiful. Perfect with just a sheet for summer evenings, here on the Central Coast of CA. I have washed it twice already since I have indoor/outdoor dogs, and have not noticed any fading or loose stitching. I also wash it with Mrs. Meyers baby laundry soap and on delicate, then on low heat setting, taking it out half way to re-arrange it...wool dryer balls help a lot too.

It’s so beautiful and I love that it can be reversed to a different pattern (picture shows reverse pattern). Also the shams are totally reversible too. I love both sides and it’s generously sized. I very rarely write reviews but this quilt exceeded my expectations.

The colors are excellent. The size is sparing, sm able to cover my pillows with spread and allowance for sides is adequate. The company added a little bit of quality by putting a zipper to close the flap of shams. Impressed. I will be looking at Royal Hotel Bedding if ever in need of any bedding. Recommend them top quality.

It was nice enough, well made, but not enough fabric to cover the sides of a twin bed which is absolutely ridiculous. Returned it.

Got it before scheduled date and was very pleased. Goes well with darker dressers. Just a nice pop of color.

I find duvets too hot but this bedspread is the perfect weight. I also bought it for the design and colours. Looks beautiful!
