The Flax Seed Bread is actually pretty good. Tastes fine to me!I got it for the health benefits. It has a chewy texture. Chewy in the sense of German Rye Breads. IF you like Flax, I think you will like this. Taste is a personal thing. Some people like coffee, for instance, and others can't stand it. (This does not taste like coffee, just an illustration).For me, it tastes pretty good. It is a French Baguette sized Loaf. It makes for small sandwiches. I will probably be ordering more. Normally I order German Rye Bread. [Update, I have ordered now several times now). Anyway, it is a small long loaf. Sliced. I like the taste. Soft, fresh.As far as packaging goes, Amazon is kind of funny how they pack things. The non-breakables are often put in boxes. Like my cardboard office envelopes were shipped in a box. While bread that can be squished is placed in a soft plastic bag. The loaf came in a plastic air-bubble envelope, which was placed in my Mail box. [Update, normally the bread comes in a padded envelope. It survives it all well, though the most recent time, Amazon did ship it in a Box, which is better.]No damage done, I think the bread is flexible enough to be squished. But Amazon should have shipped it a Box with padding. I order a lot of things from Amazon and have about a small percentage is damaged or dented. Most I never return.Anyway, it is a good bread. A nutty taste, just had a sandwich with it for lunch. I don't like Onions, or beets or Broccoli, yet lots of people love those things. So, I am picky, I love exotic breads. So it is that category.To me, it has a really good taste!! Kinda of a nutty taste. Pretty good considering, like German Rye breads it is shipped from overseas. Personally, I would recommend giving it a try.

There really was not much that was good about this bread. The only good things were; 1) it was pre-sliced like a normal loaf of bread and 2) it had a moist, heavier density than standard wheat-based bread. The bad things about his bread are show-stoppers. First, the bread arrived with nearly half the loaf covered in green mold. The bread was not handled with care by the vendor and was not frozen or refrigerated after it was made, as other reputable vendors do. Second is the taste. Even smothered in garlic butter, the Flaxseed taste is still overwhelming. I could not even take a second bite.I have tried other brands and found that "YEZ!" has the best product. The loaves look more like they are fresh baked, and they come with a warning label to keep them frozen until you are ready to use them. The texture is good and the taste is more subdued and allows the flavor of whatever you put on it to come through.

After trying to make my own flaxseed bread which was a colossal fail, I was delighted to find a ready made loaf with 2 grams of carbs per slice. This has a good taste but the size of each slice is the size of a generous cracker. This was sent in a paper bag, but was not smashed when it arrived.

i thought this was full sized loaf but it is a much smaller bread slice - 1/ height of nraml bread - very dense bread - noy much flavor but super good for diabetics.

This is pricey (but not unlike many dieting specialty items). We decided to try because of reviews and size/price/taste held up. Regardless, I'll purchase again because when I'm trying to avoid bread, I didn't feel at all bad about frying up 1 or 2 small slices to accompany my fried egg and it really helped satisfy missing that! The smell initially concerned me, but after toasting it, it tasted pretty darn good, definitely the best compared to diet "bread " and comparable yet portioned controlled to a decent grainy bread. We froze upon opening per recommendations. I'll repurchase this one.

This is small, flat, expensive bread that is not particularly tasty. You can get other low carb that tastes better and costs less.

Taste and texture were disappointing. I am on low sugar diet AND if you are too, PLEASE try this low sugar cerealAMAZON sells one. It's called CATALINA CRUNCH. It comes in a number of flavors and they are all great tasting.
