This frame is well made and looks attractive. It is very good value when compared to other, inferior, products.

It looks fine, but it's not real wood.

solid frames well worth the money

I'll be totally honest, I am not exactly a professional frame reviewer. In fact, this is the only frame I've ever bought. I bought it as my cat passed away recently it felt really strange to not see him in his usual spot (on a towel, under the boiler, on the kitchen side) and thought putting a picture of him would ease the grief slightly. I did buy the frame twice, and it came smashed the first time. Amazon was trying to get me to return the broken glass, which you can't do, and I'm both grieving my cat and 5 months pregnant, so just let it go. I bought it again, and it arrived fine. I wouldn't say it's like, a beautiful frame or anything but it definitely is understated and allows the photo to take centre stage. It's a traditional frame, I suppose.

I bought three nice prints, but to have them framed at the store I bought them was very expensive... so I bought them unframed and bought ONE of these frames on Amazon to try it out. So impressed was I that I went back and bought two more shortly after the first one arrived. They look much more expensive than they are and are well made. Top purchase!

I bought this to frame a special print for someone's birthday.I like the natural-looking wood, which feels sturdy, thick and great quality. It was easy to remove the clips to the frame and insert my print, and the final product looks high-end.Hopefully the recipient will feel the same way and like the framed print as much as I do!

What you see is what you get

I ordered this frame to use for a small oil painting. Frame itself is very light so not an 'authentic' wood, and it's perhaps not the sturdiest frame I've ever owned, but truth be told 1) this will be hung on a wall where it won't be disturbed too much and it does look the part, and 2) I got change from a tenner for this. You could go to a charity shop or stalk second-hand eBay for a cheaper and better quality frame if you fancied the hunt, but I needed this in a pinch.The painting is quite a thick board so it's in there quite snug and secure (there is no aperture, so for photographs I'd consider perhaps inserting some cardboard as a backing), and there are the usual little metal tabs holding the back in place. You have a choice of clip or backstand, and the clip is adjustable to portrait or landscape depending on your needs. I did admittedly remove the glass panel as I do with most paintings so I've not come across the issue that some folks have had with the glass being too heavy for the frame.All in all, for eight quid, Prime delivery and my nearest branch of Wilkos 10 miles away, this wasn't a bad purchase and I'd probably go for it again if Prime was still guaranteed.
