Description

Faustino 1 Rioja Tinto Gran Reserva. Intense and complex on the nose, the wine has notes of dark fruits, spices and old wood. Smooth and velvety on the palate with excellent integration of Christmas cake fruits and spicy with a hint of vanilla on the finish. Rich, rounded and complex. Deliciously decadent with extraordinary vitality and a long unique finish. A fantastic example of a premium Rioja from one of the oldest family owned vineyards in Spain. This wine is made from mainly Tempranillo, with the addition of a small percentage of Graciano and Mazuelo. It is aged for 26 months in French and American Oak barrels, giving a beautiful oak complexity.
