Wow! What a good motor for the $$
Bought this motor to replace the stock motor on my WL toys 4x4 race car (the purple one). The gear case on my car needed to be modified to accommodate a slightly longer pinion gear rod but it was an easy mod. Once installed, I was immediately impressed with its quiet speed and added torque. My car has never run better! Even with a 21 turn motor, I got my car close to 20mph out the gate. It’s been driving well for about a month with 0 issues.I highly recommend it!!

Great cheap motors when you want to go muddin or river crawlin
I bought about 6 of these motors so far, and only one has failed, I buy cheap motors and swap them out from me using my holmes hobby motors, so preventing me of destroying a more expensive motor. I use these motors when going out on mud and river runs. Even though they are cheap, I still do maints on them after we are done for the day. I spray WD-40 into the more, and I do mean I soak the heck out of them. Then when at home I take them out, stick them in a bucket of water connected to a battery with a on/off switch, to get the dirt and mud out. Then soak them down in WD-40 again, and just let it sit till next use. The one that failed... well lets just say, I got lazy and didnt do my maints like I should and the bearings seized up. I have bought I think 2 of the 12ts, 2 of the 21ts, 1 of the 29ts and 1 of the 35ts. They may be a knock offs of the Titans Traxxas motors, but they do well for being very cheap. Rather destroy these than my HH's motors. I use these in my TRX-4 Sport, Gen8 and Gen7. Great buy for destruction.

Is fast enough.
I put it into my Kyosho Outlaw Rampage. It's super torque-y but not to the extent where I would spin out off the line. Powered by a CC Sidewinder SCT on 2S. I could push 3S but then I would have to mess with gearing which I hate, too much on and off parts. So far after 3 battery packs(all 5000mah) this thing is still rocking. I am not sure how people burn out the motor on first use or just 1 battery pack they don't seem to say what battery they were using nor what gears they had in their R/Cs or which chassis type. If you throw this into a short course truck don't hope it can be powered by a 3s with just any gearing. There is the breaking in a brushed motor thing too, but I never did so on any of my brushed motors. IMHO you only do so when you plan to race the motor, all my brushed motors are broken in with just regular driving and bashing I have never had any issues not breaking them in. This motor is worth it's price, there is no such thing as a permanent solution on brushed motors this however could be a long term thus only 4 stars let's see if this will last me 1 year at least. I do doubt it because it's brushed, I had burned many brushed motors even brushless but that was my mistake of running it too hot or wrong gearing.

Needs break in.
I bought this for my Arrma Granite Voltage after the original motor got too hot and melted the chassis. (I had to replace that as well, ARRMA AR320382 Chassis Set)Between the original brushed motor and this new brushed motor I learned that brushed motors need a 'break in' procedure before use to ensure the best performance and lifetime. (and to keep them from overheating and melting the chassis)I went with the wet method. You actually completely submerge the motor in water, preferably distilled, and run it at about 20% for several minutes. This wears the flat surface off the brushes, making them concave so they make full contact with the armature while keeping the brushes cool and the armature contacts clean. The truck runs very smooth now and we're getting very good battery life.

Poor Performance
Pro: Fitment is correctCon: very poor performance. The sticker on the motor makes this look like a Traxxas motor using the Titan name and the same script for whatever it is. Did a proper break-in. Very disappointed.Update: First, I have returned the motor for a replacement (+1 star). Second, it may be that the timing is off on this motor because it seems to run faster in reverse; that would be a mfg issue. I'll update again when the replacement arrives and has been tested.Update: The replacement motor was the same as pictured and performs as expected. Plus +1 start (now 3) for easy replacement... with correct product.

Not a drop in replacement for WLtoys 144001 but a great motor!
I bought this thinking I had read it was a direct replacement for the motor in the 144001, my mistake. In order to fit the motor you will need to shorten the motor shaft and grind or file the flat key portion of the shaft back towards the motor in order to accommodate the pinion gear. After I installed it I broke the motor in by running it at slow/moderate speed for about 30 minutes. IMO this motor has to much power for the 144001 but its loads of fun! On any slippery surface the car is uncontrollable at full throttle. I had to reduce my throttle trim just to get the car to drive in a straight line. If you have the tools needed to make these minor modifications I would highly recommend this motor!

No more than 2 minutes, and it is slower than before, and smells burnt
I saw this motor as a good opportunity to upgrade my car to a better engine, everything else was upgraded but the motor. I checked the restrictions on both the ESC and the motor to see if they were compatible. Everything seemed to fit in place. I run it for 30 seconds, and think "wow, this runs so much faster than before, I'm super happy!" And then I had to leave to go get some things, and I try it two days later, and the performance is 2x worse than the motor I had before it. Not only that, after running it for about a minute of this thing going about 10 miles an hour in disappointment (guesstimating), I go and grab it, only to smell something burning, and the smell was coming from the inside of the motor. Am returning the product for a refund after I go to my local hobby shop for another motor.

Great performance for a reasonable price.
I mated this with a 26T pinion and 81T spur using a 3S LiPo power source to create an affordable alternative to the popular short course model with a 60-70mph top speed. Simply going by the numbers, this gets the job done and then some. Wheelies off the line, wheelies mid pass and a 50+mph top speed with a brushed motor. The only reason it isn’t faster is because it’s limited by its own technology. I’ll be ordering a brushless motor soon.
