Leather case, strap and paper look and feel great. Pen looks a little cheap but the over-all style is well worth the money. Maybe buy a good looking pen to really make a good impression. Bought as a gift for uni graduation.

The journal itself is lovely and will last for years, but why did I have to throw away three plastic wrappers that were not necessary or recyclable? If you need to wrap it could it be in a biodegradable corn starch wrapper instead? The pen is nice but not refillable so that will go in landfill soon as well:(

What a lovely item. The pages are laced on with leather ties. About eight bundles of pages altogether. Looks easy enough to swap pages too.The over all look and feel of this item is great. I love the long binding to keep it closed and the pen works well too. Nicely embossed.I bought this for my partner to keep her daily ramblings about her bike trips in. She loves it.

I'm more than pleased with my purchase. I knew when I opened the box that I was in for a treat as the journal was packaged so neatly and carefully. This journal was not just tossed in a box and shipped off. I wanted something that felt vintage and "old school" but, still well made and nice looking. This is just what I was looking for. The embossing is beautiful, the leather is soft and even the pen feels and writes nicely. I will definitely be purchasing more and think this would make a great gift. Even my 12 year-old daughter was eyeing it. But, this one is ALL MINE! ;-)
