Cutest game ever! Easy for toddlers and fun for older kids too
This game is adorable and so interactive for little ones. It's entertaining enough for adults to watch as well and there is a good variety of activities. Some sections are a video so it's just like watching an episode of sesame street, except the video responds to your actions. Very cool. There is an elmo's world portion that puts a video of the child into elmo's world as if they are actually there. There's a part where it shows the child in a mirror and has a character match the clothing color the child is wearing. Some kinect games can be fickle and frustrating because they don't respond unless the actions are done exactly right. This game responds to my toddler's actions every time. This is seriously the most intuitive kinect game I've seen and I'm a gamer. Love love love this! You won't regret buying this. I bought one for my home and my sister with mental disabilities tried it and loved it so much that I gave it to her and bought another one for my little girl.

My 4 year old loves it
My 4 year old loves playing with this. There are many options and it is a nice alternative to watching the same old cartoons. It does have some flaws though. It doesn't always pick up her voice when pointing out hidden items and it gets repetitive when watching. It is worth getting at a good price but not worth paying full price for a Kinect to get.

Great idea, but it needs some work
Maybe my kid is still too little; he's 3. He has a hard time getting the kinect to actually read HIM. If I am anywhere in the room, it wants to focus in on me and then the game expects ME to do all the work. Great idea, but it needs some work.

Great for kids, although a bit short on content
This game is essentially 8 episodes (4 per disc) of a standard Sesame Street show, with light interactive elements throughout. For instance, Ernie is doing laundry for Bert and you (the kid) can jump up and down to make more bubbles. Or the Kinect camera puts the child into Elmo's World and he/she can play an instrument along with the case. Each game-episode, like the show, focuses on a variety of topics in one session, like counting, shapes, or even some life lesson stories like growing up and moving on from a pacifier.I own both this and Once Upon a Monster:Pros:- using actual footage of the puppets, the characters animate way better and closer to the show.- the level of interactivity is easier for younger kids (i have a 3 year old). mostly consists of waving, pointing, jumping, and standing still.Cons:- content. there's only 8 "episodes" and I have to swap discs. Once Upon a Monster has a lot more content, but it is a completely different kind of game. Once Upon a Monster is where you (the kid) go on an adventure with Elmo and Cookie Monster, doing stuff along the way (very taxing to my toddler who just wanted to sit down and watch at times.)Overall, I like this game a lot. The format is just like the show and I enjoy watching my kid be a part of Elmo's World.

my daughter loves it!
The first time I played this on the xbox, my daughter was excited to see elmo. it took a couple more times for her to figure out that it was interactive. She is 2 and a half. My one year old son is amused by it too.I just wish that the letters and numbers of the day could change tho. it is just always the same on the episodes. To think that technology would allow that the same episode have different letters every time it is played. There are 2 disks, the first disk is for beginners/smaller kids then the other one is for bigger kids. but they are almost the same in content. With these 2 gripes, i still feel that it is an excellent product! highly recommended. It is a great SUPPLEMENT for things that you teach your kids at home and in school.

Gender stereotyping big time!!!
We were very disappointed in this game, especially the segment on doll play. It made a big issue out of a boy playing with dolls with a girl by showing the puppet ashamed of being caught playing with the doll. The solution was to put the doll onto construction equipment. Which then makes it ok when it was ok anyway??? Supposedly this was to make boys feel better about playing with dolls. C'mon Sesame Street you just took two of the best play experiences for children and increased, not reduced, the gender stereotyping. In our family girls and boys play with both dolls AND with trucks!!

Good, but there are better options out there in this Kinect category
I got this for my boys, 4 and 6 at the time. They liked it, but got bored with it after a short time. I would recommend the Kinect Nat Geo game over this. My boys still ask to play that one, and we've had it for over a year. Both games are good educational games, but the kids have more fun with Nat Geo.

Great for the kids
This is what Once Upon a Monster should have been. It is the first truely interactive TV experience I've seen. Our daughter loves it. As a bonus, it comes with the "season pass" for xbox live. That gets you the game without needing to put the discs in as well as hours upon hours of classic clips from the show. I know my wife and I have actually spent time just watching clips from our childhood. The games are easy enough for a 3 year old to play, and they do not get stuck in a loop if the kid has trouble. This reduces frustration for the kids a lot.Highly recommend this and I look forward to more episodes of it.

Three Stars
I find it's very hard to keep the kids interest and doesn't always register their movement.
