The size is perfect for Vietnamese rice noodle dishes like Pho. The white is slightly off from our main dish set but we don’t care. The table looks lovely. The dishes blend in well with what we have and the size is so much better for soups and salads. They are easy to wash. Easy to hold. We have been using them regularly and our utensils do not leave scrape marks like some white dishes. They look immaculate and new. We are happy! 9 is a great number.

I've yet to use this and just unpacked it from the boxes. About the packaging, ordered four and it arrived in a two cardboard boxes within a larger Amazon box. Tip: To avoid getting foam all over the place, slit open both sides of the box to ease the foam packaging out. As others shared, the overall bowls are well packaged including the spoons.Handling the bowls for the first time and washing them, they were easy on the hands. No cracks or chipped edges. Only time will tell how these hold up. The size is exactly what I wanted for soup and the like during the winter. The spoons surprisingly felt heavier to the hand and I'm most likely not going to use with the bowls. I feel like if I'm not careful, the handle of the spoons can chip at the edge of the bowl (that's how much heavier the utensil feels compared to the heft of the overall bowl). The spoons will make for nice serving spoons though and I think better fit with your standard metal bowls (Korean cuisine comes to mind).Bowls were easy clean up with flat surfaces all around. I'll be sure to be extra careful washing when holding up above my enameled cast iron sink. At least the bowls did not feel slippery.Overall, I'm happy with the purchase as the size was my primary concern.

I always wanted huge salad bowls and they ended up being great serving bowls as well. Great price.

The media could not be loaded. These are quality thick bowls! I love the size of them most of all! Much larger than a standard dinner bowl but not a mixing bowl size either! Exactly what I was looking for!

I've noticed that various other reviewers have mentioned chipping or other minor cosmetic issues with this bowl. From my personal experience, this bowl is great for its price, but it does cut corners on glazing which would affect how roughly you can treat the bowl. I have accidentally dropped this bowl on other ceramic bowls from a height of a few inches and also knocked into the bowl using other bowls while it was in the sink soaking, I've noticed that on the bowl that I use the most it has started discoloring in the middle of the bowl where I've had more incidents. This would suggest a thinner glaze on the bowl and would be likely the reason why people are having issues with their bowls. I don't blame the seller for this since that's how you get lower prices, but people should be aware of this.

Take less space to store than other serving bowls I have had. Simple design, attractive and works with any table setting.

I was searching for big bowls for my salads. These are perfect. They fit in the dishwasher, but I had to make space in my kitchen cabinets.

Have 3 already and wanted to add 3 more .
