Filling with an excessively hot solution can warp the plastic and damage the mechanisms. Containers are not watertight, so pouring too hot can also cause leakage (until solidified by the formulations). Compatibility testing is recommended as well as twisting up and down before use to ensure the tubes are working properly. The twist mechanism cannot move product freely up and down if the solution placed in them is too thick or too pasty. Let it cool or place it in the refrigerator to speed up the cooling. This will normally take in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes. Once the mixture is cool, twist up the deodorant and enjoy your homemade deodorant.
