Cracks and Gouges, oh my.
I ordered 2 of these tables, one has shown up so far. It is supposed to be a solid wood top. This is the underside. However. I did not know: Is it industry standard to have significant gouges and cracks in a solid wood Countertop? This one has 5: 7" x 3/8" wide x 1/4"+ deep, 12" x 1/2" wide x 1/2" or more deep, 3" x 1/4" wide by 1/2" deep, 3" x 1/4" x 3/8" deep, 2" x 1/2" wide x 1/2" deep. How do I know the depths? Because instead of wood filler, they used hot glue on SOME of the cracks. And they did a bad sloppy job at that, only partially filling some places, overfilling others. One crack they didn't fill; must've missed that one. It may seem like I'm being picky, I just paid a good chunk of money for this thing and I didn't know hot glue was a substitute for wood volume.

Heavy Duty/Sturdy Table... Love It!
We just received our 48"L x 24"W work table today. We set the height at 35"H; it looks like we could raise it up close to 2" higher if wanted, but 35" is as low as it appears to go. The assembly was very easy, the only tool required was included in the package. I only needed assistance when flipping the table and setting it in it's location. Our floor was a bit uneven, but I was able to adjustable the legs so the table does not wobble at all. This table was well packaged no issues and no damage to the table. I was nervous about this issue after reading some reviews, but Amazon definitely has resolved that issue. This table is priced way below other internet sellers... highly recommend!

Now it is majorly warped! Certainly not fine craftsmanship.
Update; Now the top has warped about an inch in the middle. I have to conclude that this wood top is a piece of junk. What more is there to say? Pretty shoddy, overall.I thought the price ($260) was excellent for this 30 x 60 maple commercial style work/prep table. The finish of the top is not of commercial or any other standard of quality. It is very rough, with no particular finish, and not particularly flat either. It was caked in sawdust and covered in oily paper, and appears to have been "finished" with 80 grit hand-held belt sander. The top is not actually finished, at all. There remain at least two more sanding steps before this top is ready for any type of oil or poly. The wood quality seems pretty good. Both long edges have one solid piece running the length, and that is good craftsmanship. On the other hand, one short end was cut so that one of the glued-up blocks is less than one eight inch. This is little more than a sliver needs to trimmed off before it fails. So, the craftsmanship is inconsistent and somewhat shoddy in areas. As an American craftsman, with genuine pride, I would not represent this as a "finished" top. This table is functional (after wiping all the oil off metal parts and scrubbing the debris off the top) and it seems sturdy. Got what I paid for, nothing more. Certainly not fine craftsmanship.

Extremely poor workmanship -- gouges and cracks on the bottom of the table top
Extremely disappointed at the workmanship for this table. There are serious gouges on the underside. Some the manufacturer tried to fill with glue, while others are just open. I'm sorry, but this is not how you make a butcher block table top. What is frustrating on top of my time wasted is repacking it and moving it out for UPS to pick up!

Great table, very happy with it
Solid table. Surprised it got her in one piece given it weighs a ton. The box was falling apart by the time it got to my apartment (the poor UPS guy. Four floors up and no elevator...).Took about 1.5 hours to put together. Not mad at all. It's a solid table, and I don't expect it to be put together like legos. Looks great, feels great, very happy. Some reviewers have mentioned the underside has some gaps, knots, holes, blemishes, and so on. I have a few, and I'm not bothered by this in the least bit. These blemishes are on the underside, and they're mostly cosmetic. Expecting the manufacturer to use 100% pristine pieces of lumber would significantly raise the price. Not a problem imo.Knocking a start off given the metal pieces are absolutely filthy and appear to have been put in the box the second they left the machines in China they popped out of. My hands were covered in a film of grease and oil.

Only One "Complaint"
Very well boxed. Easy to assemble. Sturdy once assembled. Nice tabletop. Easy to prep further if needed for oil treatment. HD leveling legs. Only complaint is the legs don't have a threaded insert (installation of rubber feet or casters). Might be able to drill and tap. Not vital and not a requirement but was (ignorantly) expecting. Overall pleased with purchase.Edit: 1.125 inch crutch tips are perfect fit legs

I searched for more than a month and found my perfect match. Very happy with my choice!
I was looking for a center island work space in my craft studio at my warehouse, and I'm so happy I landed on this item. It's the exact size and sturdiness I wanted, and the gorgeous butcher block surface warms up the space. The delivery was right on schedule as promised, and the table was boxed and on a sturdy palette when it arrived. I was prepared for assembly with my brand new electric drill but it only came with Phillips bits and I needed a standard. After getting the legs secured, I discovered that one end bracing socket refused to slide onto the table leg. With the help of a metal file, I was able to whittle away at the inside of the socket enough to get it on the leg. The photos show the table unassembled and then proudly placed in the center of the room. Have I mentioned how much I love my new table?

and am very happy with the quality of the product
I purchased the 48" x 30" maple top work table for my studio apartment in New York City, and am very happy with the quality of the product. Table was fairly easy to assemble, requiring about an hour of time. It's very sturdy and well made. Glad to have it as a centerpiece in my new home.
