Works well easy to clean
Catches a lot of sand and fine particles works very well easy to clean with the hose

It works
My only concern with this was that it would not let water through fast enough to drain during a heavy rain. After a few passed through in the last few weeks, I'm pretty happy with how it's working out.

sturdier and stronger than it looks
Purchased this because we were doing a lot of landscaping around the driveway and did not want the drain field for the driveway to clog with all the dirt. It seemed a bit flimsy, but a remarkable amount of dirt, bark and small rocks made their way into the catch basin and the screen caught and stopped them before they went into the system. After a couple weeks of really hard use, I am surprised how well it has held up. Rinses clean in a jiffy.

Catch basin filter
This filter catches all the leaves so that they do not clog my drain system. It works well, fits perfectly, and is easy to remove to clean it.

Great to keep out dirt and debris in your drain pipe.
Head to dig up my old drain pipe and completely replace it due to dirt and debris getting in the pipe this filter is excellent to keep it clean. Had it for a couple years now still holding up well.

It worked
I needed a round one, just unhooked net and wrapped around my drain. Slid right in.

Filter mesh is too fine, results in extremely slow drainage
Basically the same as the other reviewers here - the mesh in the filter is way too fine - it's like an industrial paper coffee filter. So what happens is as the filter gets dirty (which for my back yard takes about a week or two) the flow drops to zero. The design of the filter is such that once this happens, it overflows at the top through the gaps that are cut into the filter just under rim, and basically bypasses the filter altogether. Even when they're newly cleaned, when I get heavy rain (which I often do in the summer in Florida) the filter can't keep up with the water coming into the basin. The fact that the basin lid won't screw in completely is almost beside the point since it doesn't do the basic function I want it to do. They really need to sell a version that's more of a net than the fabric it uses now. I wish I could send back the three that I bought because they're essentially useless to me.

Great idea.
This is a great idea. It is easy to install - just remove the grate, drop the screen into the catch basin box, and place the grate back in position on top of the screen frame. The plastic frame of the screen holds a cone of landscaping filter fabric that extends to fill most of the in-ground box. When the cone gets filled with debris, just lift out the grate and the screen and dump the debris. I hope this device extends the time between the need for me to snake out and clear the catch basin drain pipe. We'll see.
