Disappointed ...poor packaging..2 crumpets broken...will discard
I purchased 2packs of these. Very poorly packaged. Will have to discard 3 of them as the are broken. Expensive and unable to return due to needing them next week. Have not tried to toast them yet.Don't waste money on these. They were awful...stale. Trader Joes has much better ones, but I don't have aa Trader Joes near be.Disappointed in these.

Duffys Crumpets don’t buy these.
Duffys Crumpets were the worst tasting and fowl smelling product I ever tried. Quality was poor . I will never purchase any Duffys product ever again.

Very good
I rated this 5 stars for what it is. I mean, compared to food that you buy through Amazon which gets shipped to your house... this is very very good. I didn't expect a miracle, I was just curious. They were a bit dry so I microwaved them with a wet paper towel to reconstitute them. Eating them with just butter, they tasted terrific. Again I didn't expect perfec freshness ordering something edible through Amazon but I was pleased with my purchase.Crumpets and tea! It was my first time.* I continue to buy these and they're only getting better. I think the first package I got was probably the worst. They keep coming and they seem to be in great shape and last for a week or two after I buy them. When shipping food you're probably going to get some that aren't as fresh as others but I've had good experience ordering these on 3 different occasions.

Just okay
While they certainly don't stand up to a fresh baked crumpet, that wouldn't be a fair comparison. While these crumpets are on the dry side - and crumbly - they are more like other shelf-stable baked goods. That being said, unless you are really craving the specific texture of a crumpet, I would probably go with a store-bought English muffin instead.

Moldy
Unfortunately, couldn't try them because they had mold on them. The item isn't eligible for refund, return, or replacement.
