The perfect machine for me at a bargain price.
I had to search for some time, but finally found the perfect sewing machine for my uses. It has a huge variety of stitches, and unlike some of the other HD machines from Singer, has self threading, one step button. All of the niceities of a modern machine. Solid construction, high speed stitching that will easily make it through almost anything you can throw at it.To ice the cake, it even has one font of characters. All of this for a great price. Who does lifetime warrantees anymore? Singer.

Workhorse, couldn’t live without it
The title might be a slight exaggeration, but I couldn’t imagine sewing on anything else but this machine now. it’s an easy machine to use, and the elements of it that are different from more basic machines are easy to learn. And the wide variety of stitches allows me to express some lovely creativity in my makes.

Good machine but got stuck few times.
Great many options to sew, but had few instances of getting stuck of malfunctioning. Please note: I’m a novice at tailoring but tech pro.

Would not purchase again
Update - 2 days after the retun window closed the machine broke. I now have to take it to a repair shop and hope it can be fixed. Absolutely would not recommend.I have been sewing for over 20 years. Had been using a basic HD Singer purchased around 2004, this machine got damaged beyond repair in a move and I needed a replacement. I looked at several machines and purchased the 6700 with high hopes. I have been using it a little over a month now.Dislikes:My 1st observation upon unpacking was how light it was - it certainly didn't have the weight of my previous one.The display is nice but is not back-lit so is very hard to read depending on lighting in your room. It absolutely does not have the power I was expecting, it struggled on 2 layers of flat denim. It also appears to me that stitches are uneven length (I have not measured to confirm). I very much dislike that it only gives you 2 needle positions (center and one left of center). You only receive a couple of quick start instructions and have to go to Singers website to download the manual.Likes:I do really like the tie-off option and have used it frequently. The work surface light was bright. Like the top load bobbin with view plate.Overall opinion:If you're looking for a true heavy duty machine I would not recommend this. I think for someone just starting out sewing this would be a good option. The whole feel is just cheesy. I would not purchase this model again and will look at other manufacturers for a true HD machine.

So fun, so easy!
Ok I took a chance when ordering this machine because I quit sewing about 7 years ago. I had a business where I made custom backpacks and I was burnt out from the work. Granted, I used industrial sewing machines but I also did fine detail work on smaller machines. I finally got the itch to sew again and just wanted to do little projects for myself at home so I searched for a few days reading some reviews and decided this one was so inexpensive and looked like it was worth a try. Wow, I'm having so much fun with this machine! The computer functions of it make it so easy that all I have to do is be creative. The learning curve is pretty fast once you start experimenting with the buttons for stitches. I'm still learning on it and as long as it doesn't do anything to malfunction that I can't figure out I'd say this machine is 5 Stars for anyone who likes to sew projects at home and doesn't have tons of experience. It's super for a beginner and even though I have lots of experience it's still great.

Makes my happy place happier.
I’m enjoying my new machine! I was mainly aiming for a stronger motor for creating my backpacks, totes, and purses. But the speed control, needle stop position option, drop down feed dogs, multiple stitches, drop in bobbin, etc., are all extra perks I haven’t had on past machines that I didn’t realize I “needed”! (The font stitch is kinda lame but that’s not a game changer since it wasn’t on the wishlist). There is but one negative comment I can make concerning this machine. It is simply this: after a couple hours of sewing I am acutely aware of an annoying ringing in my ears/head. Thankfully it doesn’t last forever; it stops the very moment I turn off the machine. Ah, the grand world of computerized technology.I recommend this machine for any thread artist!(Minor note: A lower-priced option without the additional feet would have been nice because I already have multiples of all of them and more. Or maybe the package deal could be the choice of the feet or the extension table?)

great machine
Great strong machine. super easy to use. strong enough to go through leather and denim, and sewing on embroidered patches. I love how I can make the sewing platform smaller for sleeves or larger for bigger areas. would definitely recommend this machine.
