This was my first tiered cake. I used the cake boards on top of each set of piers that were cut to fit exactly for the height of each layer. I did watch videos to learn. These are very strong and take a good scissor or small saw to cut. After cutting, make sure they are exactly the same height and use a little sandpaper to level them if you have to. My first tiered cake was a big hit for my granddaughter’s birthday. Just what she asked for.

These are great dowels. Very sturdy, hold up cakes perfectly. Love the size so I don't have to use too many. Also they are very easy to cut! Would definitely buy these again and recommend they highly for tiered cakes!

I was worried these would be too light weight for the dense 3 tier cake I was making but they are really thick and sturdy. They are actually kind of hard to cut because the plastic is thick and solid.

These dowels worked perfectly. I used them while making my daughter’s 4 tier wedding cake. The cake was stable and straight.
