In the picture they have a silver like appearance but the color is most definitely bronze. The faux patina is simply gorgeous and they have one of those sensational Bulldog expressions that can melt a thousand hearts. They're just beaming with personality and character.Each bookend is fully lined with felt on the bottom to protect shelves and furniture and like all items from Design Toscano the packaging is superb. The pair arrives in a heavy cardboard box with both pieces secured in a thick Styrofoam encasement.These bookends are sure to delight any Bulldog owner or lover. They're whimsical and exceptionally well made statuary.

Purchased for my boy friend's mother whom loves bulldogs. She was ecstatic when she opened the box. They are exactly as pictured and as with the other reviews I will agree, GREAT QUALITY! Very heavy duty. And So so so so CUTE!! Best part is you dont absolutely have to use them as book ends as they look great as shelf decorations or a paperweight, the possibilities are limitless! BUY THESE!!

I love bulldogs and reading, this one was a no-brainer.They are heave and exactly like they are depicted on the image, which is a common complain of mine with products on amazon.
