I bought these for miniature wargaming not for trains, so I admit that I'm a little outside of their intended use. That said, holy crow do they shed. Badly. Messily. As if a green fairy flew in through your window and piffled fuzz all over your table.My solution, which worked well enough, was to repeatedly coat them in a spray of PVA glue mixed with water. Although, in retrospect, the amount of effort it took I wish I would've just returned them.

Flocking wasn't glued onto tree forms very well.
