Topped off the room beautifully
Well when I first saw this product I thought this cheesy crap is not going to do but it was cheap, it was easy and it looks pretty damned good. We are very happy that we went ahead with this product! I waited a month before submitting the review because I wanted to be sure but it actually is a dream. I know the rules say to start in the center and work your way out from alll sides but we did not even do that we started in a corner. And just glued one up next to each other and it worked. This is a very old house, nothing is square and even like it should be but it worked even where we had to trim. Made it fit the best we could and caulked the places that refused to fit together perfectly because of the old ceiling. The old ceiling btw, was subflooring planking so there were tiny gaps everywhere. I would use this product for another project in a second, in fact going to do the bedroom next. Great buy!

paper-thin trash
The "gaps" between boards are extremely shallow, there must be some funny lighting work going on in the pictures, they actually look like plain squares in any but perfect lighting. They're styrofoam, which I grasped before I bought, but surface texture is EXTREMELY OBVIOUSLY styrofoam, there's no way these are going to look okay on my ceiling. They are so thin and soft, bradnails from a manual spring stapler/nailer go right through, so you have to find a way to hold these, flat, above your head for at least several minutes to get the suggested adhesive to stick at all, and in spite of suggestions that it works over popcorn, I CANNOT get these to stick to popcorn without at least staple-gunning them up, which the shiny surface texture will certainly show not only the holes, but even the imprint of the staple crossbar. A significant number of the total order also arrived damaged due to poor packing or prior roguh handling.I get that I'm an idiot for not trying a small pack before committing to these, but I'm still exceedingly annoyed at the hundreds of dollars I just wasted.

It's just Styrofoam !!!!
So, this really is just thin Styrofoam squares. I am not sure why they cost so much... or who had the idea to put packing material on a ceiling. BUT..... my wife ordered and I put them up in the bathroom.... and they dont look bad. They were super easy to work with. Just score them a little and they snap apart very cleanly. The Locktight spray adhesive did not stick as well as I had hoped, so had to use some liquid nails in places. The picture shows before I used the liquid nails, and you can kinda see how some tiles didnt stick very well with just the Locktight. Anyway, it will always bother me that I have Styrofoam squares on my ceiling... so I took off a star. But nobody else will know that its Styrofoam ... and it took no time to install. So Im calling it a winner.

Great solution for ugly low ceilings
The thin foam panels were the perfect solution to wonky low ceilings in a 200sf rental. Easy to paint and quick to install, they made the ceilings look fancy and expensive instead of wavy and badly patched. We placed each panel at right angles to the adjacent one and the bead board look was just what we were going for.

Not for short ceilings
These are easy to install but also very easy to scratch and ding. You do have to paint over them and caulk between the seems or it wouldn't look good at all. Gorilla heavy construction adhesive is what we used to hang them.

Easy application
Quickly applied to bathroom ceiling, beautiful! Advice: Buy a small pail of loctite and use a plastic spackle knife to apply. Much easier & quicker than applying with gun. Just ordered more for adjacent bedroom ceiling.

Not worth the price.
I chose to paint the tiles before installing them. I used a paint sprayer with a compressor and latex paint. Glad I painted before installing! Unpainted tiles would have looked like I pasted take out containers to the ceiling.Tiles are very thin, prone to edge and corner damage, and were really easy to gouge with my short fingernails. The recommended adhesive was very stiff and difficult to extrude with the caulk gun.Not sure these were worth $300 for 250 sqft.

Product is flexible to install over difficult surfaces
You can see by the picture when the new door was installed the company tore down part of the dry wall . I due to the rock concrete and the location of the door opener dry wall was no longer going to fit .I found this product. It worked perfectly. Everyone compliments the work they don’t reliaze it is very thin styrofoam..I was even able to easily able to cut the triangle piece to fill in the gap that would have been exposed.

They are very thin tiles, we returned the
These tiles were purchased as ceiling tiles for my motorhome. They were very flimsy, thin and quite easy to damage. They are quite similar to styrofoam trays, we returned them.

Absolutely horrible-Don’t Buy!!!!
Absolute junk. This is egg carton foam. The company wants 12% handling fee to return this. DO NOT BUY.

Disappointed...
Was looking forward to installing this in my bathroom most reviews were decent and I looked past the 90$ i spent because I thought they'd be at least in good condition. There are dents and scratches all over them. Opened the package in Hope's it had another side to it. Nope! Two ruined squares out of 8... very very unhappy
