Best in class!
This was the most complete starter kit I could find! It included the cup (installed on the crankshaft) as well as mounting bolts (these were high quality and chrome plated.). The kit fit perfectly, just like OEM with mounting hole aligning perfectly with the engine shroud. Springs in the u it are wrong with a very positive retraction of the starting rope. Handle is comfortable in the hand. I did my research and I can assure you this is the one I recommend. I will use this starter assembly in the future if I ever need another one.

Use the supplied cup
I installed this on a GX 120 Honda 4.0 water/trash pump. Great price, fast shipping, fits exactly but is not compatible with the original cup and almost got stuck trying to make it work. I removed the old cup easily with a 19mm socket on an impact driver then installed the supplied new cup. It pull started and retracted as desired.

You may need to use the included metal cup thing
This fit perfectly in my old Mikasa vibe plate running a Honda 160 engine. I had to change out the OEM metal cup thing, and use the included one, and it works like a charm. Note- some reviews say it doesn't fit, well, in my case, this pull starter was nowhere near fitting the OEM metal cup thing, so I changed it out with the one it comes with, and it worked great!

Feels like OEM for a fraction of the cost.
I returned another allegedly OEM pull start assembly that was cheap plastic. This is virtually identical in heft and appearance to the one I am replacing on my Little Wonder edger. If it weren't for the missing Honda sticker, no one would be able to tell the difference.Well, until they go to start it. The cord is significantly shorter than the one I replaced. It's still enough to start, but muscle memory keeps telling me it should be about 8 inches longer. Thankfully it is a simple thing to add an extension and handle.

Some say you have to change the Cup. I didn’t have to. Worked fine with original Cup.
Works good with Original Cup. Will keep the included cup to the side. Original cup has 4 wide slots. Included cup has 6 slots that are more narrow. Litterally took 5 mins to replace which is good. Some have said in reviews you have to replace the original “cup” with the one supplied. I didn’t have to.Paws on replacement are steel as advertised, but are smaller than the OEM Honda units original Paws. Should last as long as the pull cord. Will update if the pull start fails prematurely. Have a feeling the cord will fail first.Honda GX120 on a walk behind edger if anyone is curious.

So far so good! Really good!!
Update: after only maybe 10 pulls it stopped grabbing the cup and starting reliably, then one of the steel pawls fell out while it was running and it heard it banging around inside the engine. And instructed my son to immediately turn it off. I'm glad I happened to be around when it happened. The part with the screw that holds the pawls down is plastic vs metal in the predator 212 recoil starter that I took off another engine to compare.Easy install and tighter fit than the oem starters! I absolutely love that it came with the cups to guarantee that it will work for your 5-8hp engine regardless of what style cup it originally had. The fact that it came with 6 beefy bolts blew my mind. I'm attention deficit BAD so I am always misplacing hardware. The 3 extra bolts are a HUGE bonus to me. Beautiful red color and super sturdy frame!! The holes line up perfectly and it performs like oem or better. Nice long pull rope, almost a little too long. Right now the handle doesnt spring back into the frame it kinds hangs limp when retracted so I'm going to pull some rope through the handle, retie the handle's knot with about 4 inches less rope, and it will be absolutely flawless! 10/10 absolutely amazing product.
