At first this pedal made no sense and I was going to send it back. I thought I was giving up a bit easy so spent a bit more time with it. Managed to get some really good sounds from it and I became quite impressed. So five stars? It then dawned on me that I have a passive magnetic pickup so tried that and it was perfect as a preamp to raise the level before hitting the amp. It is also good if you plan to use the magnetic pickup as well as the built in active pickup on your guitar. You can then level them out before the amp/mixer/pedal board. Any pedal with a mute switch is genius so used with a boss oc-5 with the above set up is like it was meant to be. Very pleased I went back and gave this box of joy another go.

Buy it, rock it!
New to acoustic guitars, bought one with amp jack, interior pickup. Went to the BIG box guitar store chains and was told "NO FOOT PEDALS FOR ACOUSTIC". Fender to the rescue! Coupled the preverb peddle with fenders overdrive pedal, ran them through a Fender SFX amp and BOOM! All the electric guitar effects I could want. This is a great pedal, love the LED. Cannot tell you how Jimmy Page I feel jacking in my acoustic and stomping on the pedal switch!

Stopped Working after 2 months
2 months in it stopped working, won't even let a signal through.

Not bad but probably unnecessary
For me it proved totally unnecessary, as the reverb on my mixing console works just as well, but with more control and less wiring. It's not bad at all though and in the case you perform with say just a powered speaker, and no mixer it'd work nicely. The tone is actually very good, but it did nothing to enhance the sound of my Fender Acoustasonic, that dialing in on the board wouldn't do.
