Great Clarinet!
Not a professional but to me the sound is clear. All metal portions were fine, nothing bent or broken. Case is very protective. I’ve had no problems playing it. Came with a #3 reed so I had to buy one more at my level. Seller was lovely to interact with, and they left a cute “thank you for your purchase” note. The package arrived early and was securely packages. Took a bit for me to get it open it was packaged so well. Overall, great experience and great product.

Wonderful instrument
Purchased for my son for marching band. It takes a little more to blow than a Buffet R13 and doesn’t have as rich sound, but for an outdoor instrument, it sounds great and handles temperature and humidity. Highly recommend

Quality to price is unmatched.
I figured I should address this first before anything else because I had to do some digging to find out myself. Yes, this is an official Yamaha product you can register it on their website. Yes, there isn’t any difference between the YCL-255 international and the YCL-255. No difference either other than the price. One is at retail the other (this one) isn’t. I originally began playing the clarinet in 2017 buying a cheap Mendini to introduce myself to the instrument. Since then I’ve improved and decided to pursue it further and for that I would need to get something that is higher quality. Not the fairest comparison, but the sound quality of the YCL is incomparable to my old Mendini. Would I recommend buying if you are playing long term? Yes. Short term, maybe. As with all instruments, they are pricey and for someone who is just “getting the feels” it wouldn’t be nice to have to return a 700-800$ instrument. Solid clarinet choice would certainly recommend but just sort out how much you would play/how long. No complaints otherwise, very well packaged.

Great Product
My child is using this in her middle school band class. Not only is it to the quality standard demanded by the school, it also saved us a considerable amount of money.
