Rival Snow Cone Maker

Unlike many machines that require you to freeze water in a specific container, or only produce mediocre "crushed ice" like you could get from a refrigerator's ice dispenser, this machine is top notch! You can put in whatever ice cubes you like and the result is a perfectly shaved ice!

The machine worked very good the first three times, then the cheap plastic lid broke off.I returned the machine to Walmart and exchanged it for the next best model for only $8.00 more, much better machine. It's a Rival Deluxe.

The Best! Have one of these at work someone else bought and decided to buy one for home. Makes the perfect snow cone! Great for those Hot days when you want something different. Ice texture ranges from shaved to snow cone ice. Would highly recommend

I have owned four of these machines. I eat snow cone ice everyday. This machine makes the fine ice like snow,,, not chipped ice. It works great for awhile but depending on how used the machine was when I got it ( I usually buy them used for cheaper) the blade seems to dull withing a couple months to six months. It still works, it just makes the ice extremely slow so you are sitting there forever. This is a great little machine if you are only occasionally going to make snow cones.

My kids love this and it is an extra way to keep them hydrated in the hot summer days. Not sure about the ice shoot design because it shoots it out straight. We would have preferred it to shoot out in a more downward way, but you just have to aim it more directly. Either way the kids love it and that is all that matters!

after using it for the first time unit started smoking at bottom. Do not buy Rival Snow Cone Maker unless you have good home owner insurance High risk of home fire something wrong with unit after i bought this unit at walmart i will never again buy another Rival Snow Cone Maker. brand new out of the box i made 2 4 oz cones and it started to smoke Grey smoke like something inside of unit is on fire. I got scared and unplugged the unit returned to store before unit burn down my house. Unit did not stop smoking until i kicked the breaker unplugged it and through it in water. Something in the inside was in fire. When i picked up the unit it was fire red hot. Have no idea how poorly this unit is made but i am lucky it did not burn down my only home.
