It works as well as the original, but both the original and new one are flimsy.
The media could not be loaded. It does the job, but there is no improvement on the original when there probably should have been. The best method for replacing the old one is to break it apart slowly. There is a clip on top of the cup holder, which may prove problematic to remove. Some take out the radio and other parts to reach.
