Buttons & Pleats Compression Socks for Women and Men

I initially gave this product a one star review (see below in quotes) because the size chart was misleading, but I am revising it to 5 stars because of outstanding customer service. The seller contacted me and offered to send me another pair in the correct size, which I received today. The socks now fit me and I am extremely satisfied with the socks and the excellent customer service of Bottons and Pleats. Not many sellers would go above and beyond to their buyers to keep them happy. I highly recommend any purchase from this seller, he will definitely make you a satisfied buyer."I bought these for an upcoming transoceanic flight and I must say I am very disappointed, not in the quality but in the size. I wear a women's size 8.5 and ordered the M/L based on the size chart that shows women's size 8-13 in the M/L section. Unfortunately these socks are far to large for me and I should have ordered a S/M but I took them out of their packaging and tried them on so I cannot return them. I will give them to my husband, so all is not lost, but now I must order another pair for myself and these were among the more expensive compression socks."

I have been wearing them everyday since I got them and have since retired my old pair that I had. The first couple of times the elastic the top cut into my leg pretty good, but That has gotten better after a few washes. I have not put them in the washer or dryer. I hand wash them and hang them to dry over night.I would have given them 5 stars if the tops of them would have tapered out with the tightness so that they would not have cut off as much circulation where they ended. My old bran had that and I like it much better. Other than that I like them just fine.They have a tendency to snag pretty easy so I make sure that I have shoes on or slippers when wearing them. I also make sure that I buff my heals so that it is free of callus skin that can snag the sock while pulling them up.

I have purchased several brands of compression socks and these are my favorite. I'm tall and these go all the way up to my knees where others do not. The material is substantial and strong so you won't put your finger through the fabric when you pull the socks up, which I did with another brand. The toe area is comfortable, like a regular sock instead of an added piece of fabric to cover the toes as on another brand I tried. These socks are comfortable with a good amount of compression. I recommend them for anyone long legs. I wish Buttons and Pleats would make them in navy blue as well as black, then they'd be perfect.

The color, length and compression of these stockings are awesome. I was pleasantly surprised when I put them on this morning at 8am. Fast forward FOUR HOURS LATER and there is a run in one of the stockings starting from the inseam at the toe and going down my foot. If they can't make it fours hours on my foot, they are never going to survive a wash. Really disappointed as I like the material, it's nice and light and doesn't itch.

I like the socks very well, however, I did not realize that they were stretchy and like a spandex material. They fit very well and do the job of keeping my ankles down in size. The spandex material after a while begin to be to tight at the top and I need to then take them off which is disappointing. I would look for a more sock material next time.

These compression socks are worth 5-stars if you are over 5'4" or so with a length between the bottom of your foot to your knee over 15". Nowhere in the product description is this information offered. I am 5'3" with a lower leg length of 14 1/2 inches. When I rolled them up, they fit midway of my knee cap. So I pulled them below the knee cap where they cut off the circulation at the back of the knee, creating swelling and pain. So then I rolled them up loosely, but that created wrinkles around the ankle that left red marks and were painful. They became wearable when I left a big wad of fabric at the toe, annoying but not actually painful.Then I discovered that there are compression socks made for short people and that proper fitting is critical. So I ordered Truform 8865 and 0865, short length, also available on Amazon Truform 8865s, Compression Stockings, Short Length, Below Knee, 20-30 mmHg, Beige, Large. They fit perfectly with no pain or strangling of circulation. If only I had known before subjecting myself to all that misery. And that's why I gave these otherwise well-made compression socks only two stars (it would have been 1-star if they were garbage). A company that manufactures compression socks knows the importance of fit, so it is inexcusable that this information was not passed on to people looking for an answer to serious problems.

I have purchased a number of pairs of compression socks for use when traveling by plane in particular, and typically end up with either too little or too much compression, or sizing that is off. I'm happy to say that so far these fit the bill nicely for my size 9.5 women's feet and slightly overweight frame. The fabric feels and looks nice, and the quality of construction seems very good. As Goldilocks might say, "not too big, not too tight, just right!" I wore them all day yesterday, and will be wearing them on a flight to the UK next week. Here's to less swelling!

I ordered the M/L because I was confused by the description. The foot portion was too big for my size 10 women’s feet. After exchanging emails with Buttons & Pleats, I received a S/M. They fit my feet just fine.Comments:• Excellent fit – if you get the right size• Not as heavy and hot as other brands I have tried – much better• I will definitely order more as I need them.• Excellent customer serviceNote: they have changed the sizing description and it is much easier to read. However, given the new one, I still would have gotten a M/L. The S/M fits a US size 10 woman's foot.
