can I use this on dry hair to energize waves, curl, and style without build-up and then without washing hair use again on dry hair the next day?

I do and it keeps my curls & waves from looking frizzy and the next day it refreshes the curls. I personally love this product for my hair.

What is the scent of this spray like? Is it heavily/strongly scented and/or perfumey?

It smells most like coconut milk like a good leave in conditioner. The first time I used it I noticed the smell (it smells good) but now I don't notice it. I did get a compliment that it smells good. I put it in my wet hair and let it air dry so it smells when it's wet but the smell goes away when it dries. I'd call it the same scent strength as a leave in conditioner and goes away the same way. Not flowery perfumey smell though.

Will this product make my hair have waves or curls if I don’t already?

No it won’t. It’s a really great for your hair. I use on my daughter’s curly hair. It makes their hair more full of curls. It’s also great on knots. But if your hair is straight it won’t get give you curls
