Q: Does the 14 inches include the handles?

Mine is actually 13" not including the handles.

Q: Has anyone compared the Camp Chef next to the Lodge?

Lodge is thicker but much heavier. Camp Chef is 7 lbs. Lodge is 10 lbs or 11 lbs for similar ones.

Q: The interior is cast iron coated ? What is the outside matrial ?

CAST iron means the iron is melted and it is CAST in a mold, like a sand casting for plaster. It cannot therefore be Material X which is coated with cast iron. The word CAST means it was made in a mold. If iron was fabricated any other way it would be WROUGHT iron, coated with iron, etc. Therefore your question CAST and COATED cannot be in the same sentence. Why would anyone coat something with iron? Makes zero sense. Iron holds heat well and is magnetic so good for Induction stoves. But it rusts. So best to create a core of iron and coat with stainless steel, copper, aluminum, porcelain enamel, etc. This product is solid iron all the way through. The method of manufacture is casting (CAST) in a mold. fyi - MATERIAL, not MATRIAL. Use Google Translate to check spelling or Word Spell check.
