Not impressed. Complicated ingredients
I love to cook, but I wanted some simple ideas for finger foods for daycare. There is nothing simple about this book. My pantry and refrigerator are stocked with ingredients, but I could not make a single thing without having to go to the grocery store and buy something. They’re using specific brand flours, while its a wholesome food book, it’s over the top. I feel like I am reading some specific diet book. I’m still sitting and debating if I should return it or keep it, but I do not see myself making a single dish from A-to-Z. Just as someone else mentioned it’s more for getting an idea, rather than following through with the recipe.

A Comprehensive Guide to Healthy and Delicious Lunchbox Ideas
Overall, I found the book to be a valuable resource for preparing wholesome and tasty lunches for my child. The book focuses on creating nutrient-dense meals that are not only delicious but also easy to pack for busy days. With 60 recipes and accompanying photographs, as well as a bonus chapter on homemade healthy staples, this book offers a wide variety of options to choose from. One aspect that I particularly appreciated was the concept of prepping a single homemade component ahead of time, which could be used in multiple lunchbox variations. For example, the recipe for Carnival Copycat Corn Dogs can be prepared in a large batch and stored in the freezer. This way, they conveniently defrost just in time for lunch. Additionally, the book offers fantastic copycat versions of popular lunch options. The recipes cater to various dietary needs by offering gluten-free and allergen-friendly options. This is especially important for parents who have children with specific dietary restrictions. The book provides a range of ideas, from no-fuss sides like seeds, crackers, and fresh fruits to from-scratch items that complete a balanced meal. The recipes are well-organized, easy to follow, and accompanied by beautiful images that enhance the overall presentation.Although not all the recipes were equally simple, I found it relatively easy to navigate through the book and select suitable options. The clear instructions and well-structured format made it convenient to prepare and pack healthy meals for my child. I appreciate that the author emphasizes using simple and nourishing ingredients, making it easier for parents to provide nutritious meals for their kids.As for additional feedback, I would have liked to see more tips and suggestions for customization or adaptations to accommodate different tastes or dietary preferences. While the book offers a great variety of recipes, some additional flexibility in terms of substitutions or variations would have been beneficial.Overall, "Little Lunchbox" is a comprehensive guide that offers creative and nutritious lunch ideas.
