W11096268 W11220230 Water Inlet Valve Compatible with whirl-pool ken-more Washing Machine Replaces W10632527 W10758829 W10853296 W11096268 etc (120V 60Hz)

The wife and I watched some videos about changing the water control valve on our Whirlpool Cabrio washer so when the valve arrived, very quickly I might add, it was easy to install, and works like a champ! I live in the country and I suspect my well water will have me changing it again in the future. It's easier than you think!

The media could not be loaded.  My Whirlpool Cabrio model WTW8040DW4 was leaking as shown in the video. The location of the leak was in the vicinity of the filling valve, and it leaked only while filling. I ran diagnostics on the washer and it indicated an error “F3 E2” which according to Whirlpool’s website it MAY be an issue with the Temperature Control Sensor. I opened the washer and removed the filling valve an found such a sensor is an integral part of the filling valve and can not be serviced. The original valve is part # W11096268 and I ordered this from Amazon. The valve I received was packed in a good cardboard box, but it does not indicate who the manufacturer is, it only reads that is made in China.The replacement valve looks the same as the original an it had perfect fit, and most importantly, it fixed the leak.I’m giving this valve 4 stars because it is working as it is supposed, and had no issues with the installation.I’ll update my review if anything changes.

This product was a perfect replacement for the old one that continuously leaked. Works well.

I figured I would attempt to fix my washer myself. Super easy to install.

Delivery was fast and on time. Part was a perfect fit and functions as it should.Make sure you have the correct part number for your machine there are parts that look similar and most likely will not function due to computer systemFYI learn ie: video how to take off washer top to access valve on YouTube or other information source without this information this simple repair project could make repair difficult especially for someone who isn't mechanically inclined. New appliances these days are not like the appliances of yesterday

I purchased this part to replace my previous inlet valve and it shipped quickly and was the exact part described in the description. The part fit perfectly and the install was very easy. The part works fine and has no issues. The sound level has increased a bit compared tot he old part but it is not unreasonable. Overall, the inlet part is a great purchase and I would buy it again if I ever need it again.

Took a little time getting the side panel clips off the actual machine (tip: twist a strong butter knife and pull forward, after you e taken the back panel screws all out, takes a lot of effort and I was scared to break it but it came up finally after like 45 minutes of trying and giving up!) took me about 2 hours to do, but that was with looking for the right drill bits, flat heads, and working in a small space with no lights, had to use a flashlight the whole time. Also replaced the hoses with stainless steel ones, might as well do that too when replacing this part. We live in the country and have well water and get bits of sediment and debris in our water every so often. That’s when we know it’s time to change the well pumps filter. The old part I took off the washing machine had sooo much gross hard stuff inside after I pried out the blue and red filters inside the old parts, bits of sand, built up calcium deposits, red iron, or copper like sludge.
