PERFECT AMP
I bought this amp a few years back to use in my Luthier shop to test guitar electronics and pickups. I really did not use it much for playing my own guitars. I recently added some jazz to my classical/fingerstyle playing and using a great arch top guitar. I was using a Carvin 100 amp I purchased many years ago. The amp is in perfect condition. I just could not get that jazz sound I was looking for so just for fun I plugged in the Orange RT 20. I am absolutely amazed! The jazz guitar sounds great and I can dial in the tone I am looking for even though it is a basic one channel amp with few bells and whistles. I could not believe the sound I heard when I plugged in my guitar. Also, it works great for rock/Blues and has a dirty setting which I don't use. I just bought another Orange, The RT 30 just for fun. Anyway, for me, I love this amp.

Great little amp
The 20rt is an excellent two-channel amp for practice and low volume rehearsal. Both channels just feel good to play. It is actually a bit more fun to play at practice volume than the 35rt is, which we also own. The clean channel breaks up just a bit, but very nicely, at practice volume, which I like a lot. I bought this for my daughter to use for for pit-orchestra rehearsals at school and low-volume at home. She required either two channels, or a boost pedal, for what she's doing. I refuse to spend weeks/months trying out boost pedals.....been there, done that. So this small two channel solution does the job very, very, very well. The line-in feature - to play along with music is an essential part of practice IMO so I'm thrilled with that. Also the headphone out for someone who is still learning certain things and sometimes does not want anyone listening just yet....The thing is, I'm impressed enough with this little guy as a practice amp, that I'm ordering another one for myself. Two good channels, whose tone not only sounds good but feels good, good dirty tone, good clean tone w/ a bit of breakup, small, lightweight, just plug in and go. As a busy dad, playing is all about the ability to sit down for say 15 minutes at a time, so access is critical, not futzing with knobs to get a good tone.Buy this little amp, you'll really enjoy it. It can rock pretty hard, produce a very respectable volume level, and the amount of gain this thing can deliver is way more than you'll probably ever need. I've owned a lot of tube based stuff, and still have much of it, and I'm happy to ditch the complications of that gear for a while and just focus on playing. This thing frees you up to just play....Update 3/19/19: My daughter has an upcoming performance requiring both electric and acoustic-electric parts, amplified. We assumed she'd just take my Fishman loudbox for the Yamaha acoustic, and then the cr20rt/MIM Strat, which is pretty minimal....BUT that changed when I tried the Yamaha straight into the clean channel of the 20rt. The verdict - All she needs to bring for both guitars is the Orange(!). The Yamaha straight into the clean channel is very, VERY good, not sterile at all, transparent, nice touch, nice dynamics. Awesome.....Secret's out!!.

Another great little Orange Amp
I'm sold on Orange amps. If you need a nice little practice amp you can't go wrong with it. I have two Orange amps and I love them both. There are cheaper amps out there, but I honestly feel these are worth the money. Decent features and sound.

Great sound / cool design
This sounds amazing for such a small amp. Great for practice, with a clear true sound. The orange facade really makes it stand out.

Good practice amp, but the speaker seems lacking
Sound: This amp is a simple, no frills analog amp (except for the reverb part, which is digital). I pair it mostly with guitars with humbucker pickups (SG & Les Pauls), which is where it shines in my opinion. Even though the amp is pretty simple, you do get the classic orange tone. The cleans are nice, and the dirty channel sounds a bit like what you get from a rockerverb (although of course, you can't really compare to a tube amp).Settings: This amp follows the orange spirit: there are no complex settings or effects, you pretty much get one tone and that's it. You have a 3-band equalizer, a reverb, a gain and that's pretty much it. So before you buy it, make sure you like the one tone, because that's all you will have.Volume: I use this amp for band practice, and it is barely loud enough but does the job (you have to push the volume pretty high, 8 to 10). On the topic of volume, the amp behaves pretty well at full volume. Most similarly-priced amps (modeling based) will start sounding horrible when you push the gain too far. Other amps will sound bad when you push the volume. This one behaves well, the only problem is that the original speaker starts crackling a little bit.Extras: The tuner is a nice touch; when everyone around you is being loud you can still tune your guitar, including weird tunings because this is a chromatic tuner. The reverb is digital (G21A21-based) and does the job -- it's hard to mess a digital reverb these days. The aux input allows you to play some background track from a computer/phone. The headphone jack will let you practice at night without having to meet your neighbors.Weight: This amp is very lightweight given how much noise it makes (16 lbs). This makes it the perfect band practice amp in my opinion, easy to carry around, small enough to fit in any car etc.Reliability: I've been taking it back and forth to band practice, and after about a year of playing a couple hours a week, the speaker died. I replaced it with a similar 8 ohm speaker (Jensen C8R) and was going again. This was a little annoying, which is why I'm giving it 4 not 5 stars. The rest of the amp seems solid and I haven't had any other issue.

Best for the price
This little amp is terrific! Very well built and the sound is amazing. With the foot switch its easy to transition back and forth between clean and gain channel. The reverb is great and the tuner is a nice extra.I got the black so it blends nice in the house which makes my wife happy. For a $200 amp I think you will have a hard time finding a better little practice amp!
