I have only had this Mat for a couple weeks. I have just started using it daily 1/25/2021. I’m 270 lbs and there is thick carpet here. No issues with cracking. Thick and sturdy enough. Follow the directions put something heavy on all corners. Make sure it is warm. The Mat will lay flat easily. I did not do that so I’m am currently flattening it while I use it. Delivery was quick and concise.I haven’t used this Mat long enough to leave a proper review of the sturdiness. I will revisit after using this for a couple weeks.

Maybe this is not meant for normal carpet, but I thought the point was to protect it and make it easy to roll a chair on. This mat is made really well. However, it does not do a good job of preventing the carpet from becoming matted. It just pushes the carpet down and the chair sinks into it, making it hard to move the chair around while sitting in it. If you are going to buy this, I would suggest only doing so for short carpet that is meant for high traffic, or for non-carpeted floors like hardwood and tile.

This mat does the job, but every time you roll into the desk the mat creeps a bit forward until eventually it is pushed up against the desk and you have to get up take the chair off the mat and pull it back. There are little points that push into the carpet on the backside but they do not hold it in place which is very annoying. Other than that it does what it is supposed to do, allow the desk chair to roll.

The mat I received didn't look like the pic. The dimensions were correct, but the little things on the bottom to hold it to the carpet wasn't the same pattern as in the pic. It is a very nice mat though

This carpet protector arrived on time; it was easy to flatten out and did not smell bad. However, I wanted it to be thick enough to support my office chair. That chair would not roll easily on my carpet. Unfortunately, this plastic protector is not thick enough to keep the wheels from digging into the protector. The protector does help some, but I wish it were rigid enough to keep the wheels from digging into it.

I now have an office at home and did not want my carpet ruined by my office chair wheel ruts. It's a good size however, my only complaint that even though it is supposed to grip the carpet, the mat does move slightly and you have to readjust.

The product is fine, it’s just not exactly what I need. The thickness is less than is necessary for a desk chair with a body in it on carpet. The chair sinks into the mat. I will probably donate this and purchase a thicker mat in person at a local office supply store.

I moved into my mothers place after she passed. She had rather thick rugs in the house. I couldn’t move my office chair very well so I ordered this. After laying it out with weights on it for a couple days I finally tried it and found it still sinks enough to be tough rolling. Not as bad as without, but not a huge improvement. I’m going to look local for something thicker. Otherwise this might work just fine for a lighter person
