OTTERBOX COMMUTER SERIES Case for LG G5 - Retail Packaging - BUBBLEGUM WAY (BUBBLEGUM PINK/SEASHELL PINK)

I purchased this because although I love the Defender series, I find it to be too bulky for everyday pocket carry. I have used the defender series to protect my last 3 cell phones without catastrophic failure.This case is certainly much less bulky than the defender series. It is, as other have mentioned, quite slick/ slippery. That is my reson for giving it 4 stars instead of 5.I must say, the included screen protector is amazing. Excellent wetting properties, and very thin. You can hardly tell it is on my phone. I would buy the Otterbox screen protector that comes with this case as a standalone any day over other screen protectors that I have used. Compared to the Defender series, this thin screen protector blows that old built-in one out of the water.

Love, Love, Love OtterBox!The only thing I didn't like is the screen protector does not go fully under the case like it does for my otterbox for iphone, mainly on the bottom. With the iphone, the screen protector tucks up under the outside shell giving it a full barrier. This one doesn't cover the silver part at the bottom which I think would help to keep out a bit of water if you happened to drop a few drops on it. I'm not thinking it will be waterproof, but would make a tight seal on the bottom so a spilled drink that you grab your phone quickly could be saved by immediately removing the case and drying it. My otterbox has saved my iphone from such disasters. If I didn't have the iPhone Otterbox, I would have not known it could be better, so I'll give a 4 stars.

This case was a lot slimmer than I thought it would be. Sturdy though. Two minutes after I got it on my phone fell out of my coat pocket and hit concrete. No damage! Not even a scuff!Microphone and speakers both work with no muffling. I use a Bluetooth headset when I'm at the gym and have had no disruption of service. The case doesn't obscure the screen in any way, or get in my way with typing/swype/etc.The outer "hard" case is a smoother plastic, and the inner flexible case is more grippy. I don't have problems with it sliding out of my hand or off tables. Goes in and out of pockets easily. The buttons are a little stiff to use, but there's no "accidental" pushing when you pick up the phone, which is nice. The port covers didn't want to flex open at first, but after a few times they got more flexible. My charger plugs in fine with no hampering from the case. I've not tried the audio jack as my headset is wireless. The screen was a bit of a booger at first. Make sure you get it down completely, no bubbles. Lift the flex case over the screen. Once all is in place, it's solid and very functional with no issues.All in all, Love the case!

Are you a klutz? Do you have two left feet? Do you occasionally have uncontrollable arm spasms? Do you try to carry in ALL of your groceries at the same time? Do you speak with grand hand gestures while loosely holding important objects? Do you get tipsy and accidentally knock objects off of tables/bars/counters/etc.? THEN THIS CASE IS PERFECT FOR YOU!I'd like to thank this company for saving my phone a multitude of times.

I love my case it keeps my phone protected from my clumsiness. I have dropped it numerous times and it still functions properly without any scratches. The pink inner case hasn't darkened too much but this is to be expected.

I have been using the Defender model for years on my phones but as phones have gotten larger it has become more difficult to utilize the holster/case combination of the Defender series.So I looked for a smaller version that would more easily fit into my pocket. So far this case done the job quite well.The only con I can find is with the screen protector. It's thin and flexible but does not cover the curved top of my phone. This protects the screen well, but doesn't protect the whole face of the phone.Based on my experience, my wife ordered this model case for her phone too and she loves it. The next time I upgrade my phone I will definitely order this model case!

Dropped from my motorcycle while on the highway going about 60 mph. No damage to phone except for scuffed top edge of this case.I actually did the same thing with my previous phone which was a G4 with an otter commuter case and had the same result. The hard and soft double layer design must do a really good job of distributing the force of impact.

This case is like a tank. I no longer worry when I fall asleep with my phone in my hand, I know no badness will happen if it falls when I get up. Tough to put on and take off, so the removable battery is no longer practical for removal. So I got an RFID blocking soft case for those times I want privacy.

Perfect fit providing strong durable protection for phone. Also comes with screen protector.

This case must have a very fundamental design flaw. I have owned it for about 4 months and all has been good until a few days ago, when my phone fell out of my pocket and it the floor FLUSH (and I mean FLUSH) against its back. I realize the chance of the phone hitting the floor in this exact position is rare, but it happened nonetheless. I would say the drop was about 2-3 feet max. Needless to say, even with a screen protector installed, my screen completely shattered. I put this down to the fact that the back on the case is not flat, yet curved. It leads me to suspect that the way the shock is dispersed when the phone lands flush on its back is not ideal, concentrating the impact too much in one spot (the physical center of the device) which is what caused the screen to shatter. It simply should not have happened. The case seems very well designed and protected my phone well on countless occasions, but the one time my phone hit the ground flush on its back, it absolutely failed to do its job.

I'm really liking this case . It's easy enough to put on however getting off would definately be a challenge. I'm not giving this a 5 because the screen protector doesn't cover the whole screen and that annoying, I have put on the protector yet so I dont know how thick it actually is. I also haven't experienced amy shadow for wode screen pictures over all I think this is a good buy as they cost at least $10 or more in department stores. I also received this in record time... less than a week, which was quite impressive.I'm lowering this review to 3 because I finally  got around to putting on the screen protector. Needless to say this is the absolute worst screen protector I have ever installed. Firstly, it bearly covers the screen, there are spots uncovered at the right and left corners and it doesn't cover all the way  to the top- that I expected; however, I thought it would at least be wide enough to cover the sides. Secondly, it is so tacky when you pull off  the protective layer, I'm typing on it now and it feels almost sticky beneath my fingers and it's i possible to keep it clean. Lastly, I honeslty don't think that it will provide any form of protection for my screen the thin plastic that came on the phone was much better and I'm regretting removing it before getting a better protection...Very disappointed Otterbox, I'm glad I didn't spend 49.95 plus tax in stores for it.

Empêche la poussière de rentré dans la prises auxiliaire et la prise pour le charger avec un petit capuchon en rubber. Trou assez gros pour faire fitter un gros fil auxiliaire. Coquille rigide par dessus une enveloppe en caoutchou pour absorber les chocs ( ça marche, je l'ai échapé plus d'une fois ). L'ouverture derrière rends l'accès au bouton facile et permet de prendre des photos panoramique sans voir l'étui. J'utilise l'étui depuis 1 an et il est encore en très bon état !Great case !! Been using it for a year and i'm still very happy ! Perfect size, fit well in your hand. All plugs are covered from dust and easily accessible even for big aux. wire. Hard case with soft cover prevent the phone from breaking if you drop it ( and it work, i try it involuntarily )Easy acces to the button on the back and wide opening so you can take panoramic picture without seeing black from the cover.

Otterbox is known for making quality cases and the Commuter series case for the LG G5 hold true to this but the included screen protector is absolutely terrible. I've had this on my phone for less than 24 hours (with very light use during that time) and the screen protector is already starting to come off at the top (where the screen curves). I suspect the screen protector isn't sticky enough to adhere to the curvature. I will be following up with Otterbox about a replacement screen protector because at this rate I might need a new one by tomorrow.
