The Oxford New Italian Dictionary: The Essential Resource, Revised and Updated

Has gender for nouns included
This is far better than most Italian-English dictionaries because it includes the gender of nouns, which is critical to know when translating. I'm surprised most dictionaries don't include it because it is so important. So this is the only dictionary I use for Italian.

A useful, affordable dictionary
Very comprehensive given its reasonable price. Molto bene!

Easy to use and thorough
It is easy to read as the words aren't too small to read and the dictionary is very thorough.

Love Oxford
I have used Oxford's dictionaries to learn both Italian and Russian, and I wouldn't use anything else. This one is very good at deciphering phrases and colloquialisms, and even helps you understand some of the stresses and pronunciations. Highly recommended.

Temporary book with some missing words used in my language course
Overall a nice temporary book - print is legible and pages are not that miserable grey colour found in pulp paperbacks and is not see through. I say "temporary" because this is a "mass-market" book where costs rather longevity have priority. Mass-marketed usually means tighter bindings (more likely to seperate over time), small format, and paper that will eventually yellow and crack over time (even though now it feels like a quality paper). It is not meant to last a long time but good enough for a few yearss in college courses (after which if you are still serious (lol) about the language you would buy a more expensive higher quality dictionary - which this publisher also offers ). Ok, I knew upfront that this was a mass market publication, so why the 3 stars? Mostly because there are words missing used in my course that i need to look up on the internet. Other reasons for lower stars is that the font is too small for me and I need to wear magnifier glasses (for reference, i can read 12pt font without glasses which is the size used on most invoices - sigh)

☆「ロシア語圏の実際」が、見えてくる!「最も安価」だが、「進んだ露英・英露辞典」!
「どうして、日本人が、露英・英露辞典を使うのか?」と言うと、「ロシア単語」と、「英単語」は、「似ている」から、です。 私は、〇Oxford Russian Dictionary(以後、ORDと、略記する。)も、持っているのですが、当The Oxford New Russian Dictionary との、差異を、中心に、話題を、進めたい。 結論から言えば、当The Oxford New Russian Dictionary The Oxford New Russian Dictionary と、大型の、Oxford Russian Dictionary とで、記述が異なった場合、当The Oxford New Russian Dictionary の方が、ロシア語圏では、「実際的・現実的」な、模様です。 「$6.99」と、安価な、新書版の大きさの、コンパクトな辞書ですが、日本人には、使いやすいでしょう。
