CREATESPACE TUNISIAN Crochet - Vol. 1: Basic & Textured Stitches: Volume 1 (TUNISIAN Crochet Stitches)

Clear, succinct and full of useful content
Most reviewers on here picked up the same impression as I, that this book is really clear and succinct, allowing the author to present a really clear, well illustrated, set of instructions in a minimum of page space, allowing many stitch patterns to be offered in a book that is relatively cheap. To the person who resorted to the internet to find out how to do slanted stitch: I learned that stitch from this book very easily. You evidently failed to notice the section at the beginning of the book which guides the reader through all the basic stitches! To be honest, I buy so many American books that I failed to notice 'colour' spelled 'color' in a U.K. published book. That is reprehensible if it's right, though it wouldn't stop me reading the book. I do get thoroughly annoyed when I hear a British accent say 'A to Zee' on a TV advert, for example, as though the British way of doing things were outdated and not worth being upheld. However, the book is a translation from German; so I think we can forgive her for favouring American spelling! That aside, however, there is enough clearly presented material in this slim, inexpensive volume to keep the average crocheter occupied for years - and after that there is volume 2 (even better) and the promise of a volume 3 n the pipeline!

Poor quality photos and a small book for the cost.
As a teacher of crochet - and with a new teaching plan to show learners Tunisian Crochet this year, I ordered this book as a follow on to the basic stitches. I was VERY disappointed and surprised to find that it only had 36 pages. Also, as the pages are about 3/4 A4 size, you're getting even less stitch info. for your money. I haven't read the whole book yet, but already I've found 2 spelling errors/typos. In addition to these negatives, the photos are poor quality and many of them are blurred, making it difficult to see hook positioning. In conclusion, I would not recommend this book to anyone, especially learners, and it's not worth the printing paper let alone £7+.

A good book for learners although with some omissions
Having gained an interest in Tunisian crochet via U tube, I wanted a book to teach me as well. This was one of 2 that i bought and it by far the better of the two for an absolute beginner. For a start, the table of contents is a great help, and unlike the other book, this one actually showed me how to increase and decrease stitches at the ends of rows (although it would have been helpful if increases and decreases in the middle of rows were included.

Lovely bright cheerful book
This book is very bright and cheerful with clear instructions I cant wait to try out the patterns perhaps as a sampler blanket first and then try the project. most of all I would say this is such an attractive book and clear layout that it makes you want to have a go at learning a new technique.

Not worth the money
I nearly ordered all 3 but having read the reviews I just got the first one. It is ridiculously overpriced for what it is. It's a booklet, no way you can call it a book. The pictures are not good. Some look blurry and the yarn used doesn't have great stitch definition. I will try some of the stitches but there are much better stitch books out there than this. If the other two are like this I think it would be extremely disappointing to buy them all. It could just be put into one book that might actually feel like a book
