Ugly Stik! Not so ugly price!
I needed another reel for my Ugly Stik cat fish pole. I had previously bought one of these reels for my fishing buddy, just in a smaller size. I really loved how it looked and thought the reel was built to last, plus the value for the money was right up my alley. The reel is smooth and the weight is just right for my 8’ rod and it matches perfectly. I absolutely love the color and style of the reel. The name of the reel matches the durability of the ugly stik’s reliability and its ability to make it’s customers happy.

It’s Pretty Good
I really should have kept the user manual b/c the hand crank keeps getting loose. Also it doesn’t click back to the “12 o’clock” position where it lines up with the rod and you open the bale.

My brother caught a 4.5 pound large mouth bass this is one of the best reels I have ever used.

Only time will tell the durability of the reel.
I am constantly on the search for a tough reel that will catch 1000+ fish without wearing out. I have tried countless others and apart from the $250+ class of reels I haven’t found any that last. I’m so happy to see you and this really has a seven-year warranty. I will surely put it to the test. I fish to feed my family, not for sport so a good reel is a necessity to me. The reel seems extremely tough so far. It is heavy. It does not have any reverse. I am only interested to see if it will still be working after 5000 fish. I will update if it breaks. So far I am happy I have landed a dozen fish.
