ArmorSuit MilitaryShield Anti-Glare Screen Protector For Amazon Kindle Voyage - [Max Coverage] Anti-Bubble Matte Film

As a longtime Kindle fan since Gen 1, I am so enjoying my Kindle Voyage. Although screen protection is a very personal preference, I invested in and applied a screen saver--always have for my Kindles because I vacation with my Kindles & beach sand can be unkind to bare screens, and I am a perfectionist when caring for my electronics. This screen protector is exceptional, feels and looks virtually identical to bare screen. But thus adds protection, just in case for my investment in the Voyage. I have great experience with screen protectors, dating back to Palm Pilots back in the day (decades ago), Blackberry's, various old and now new smartphones, tablets, and if course prior gen Kindles. My preferred choice has been Zagg InvisibleShield. But for my new Voyage, I bought the ArmorSuit Military Shield Matte/AntiGlare screen protector. It applies, with supplied spray fluid, much like (really the same) as my longtime beloved Zagg InvisibleShield. But Z apparently doesn't yet have one customized for the Kindle Voyage. ArmorSuit comes to the rescue. The key to application is to understand the instructions--watch their website video--and you MUST use plenty of their supplied wetness spray solution, lots on your very clean fingers and lots on the protector itself (and on your powered OFF device too, if you carefully dare) and go slowly, carefully. With enough wetness, the protector will install without bubbles or intrusions. And better yet, if you have some, you can remove it and reinstall--just remember to clean your hands, install in a clean environment, and use LOTS of their spray fluid. Enjoy!!!

It is nearly impossible to get all the air bubbles out. If you try and push the out with the tool as directed the saran wrap grade plastic stretches to the point you need a razor blade to trim of the excess. It in fact began stretching as I was trying to pull it off of the stick card it came on. It clouds the screen *badly* and makes it fuzzy from any angle of view outside of ideal direct head on viewing. The only practical way to remove the air bubbles is to poke holes in them which leaves excess plastic. You are honestly better of tearing up your kindle screen and replacing it every so often than trying to read after applying this awful product. The makers should be ashamed. When you need a youtube video to even have a chance to install something as simple as a screen protector your product is fundamentally flawed and needs a redesign. A tempered glass piece would be a far better choice despite the glare.

If you are on the fence on if you should get this screen protector or a different brand, I hope you choose this one. I have used screen protectors for all of my electronic toys. And I have gotten good about putting them on with the least amount of bubbles or fur (I have 2 cats and a dog) and I do this in the bathroom after someone has taken a shower to cut down the dust and fur factor. I decided to try this one because the brand that I usually use doesn't make one for my Kindle Voyage. I read the reveiws and liked that it had 5 layers in it, that it was easy to put on, that it has a lifetime guarentee and that if you get anything between the device and the protector, you can lift it back up and take it out. I watched the youtube video they suggest you watch before applying (great idea to do) and started doing my application. It was easy. I did have one piece of fur stuck on it, no problem. I just lifted it up, used the solution and got the fur out and repositioned it back on. It was so simple. So easy to move it around so that it covers exactly where you want it to. No more using the little pieces of tape to try to take the fur off the sticky side. I put it on last night, let it sit overnight, looked at it today and no more little bubbles. Just a smooth surface. Can read my Kindle Voyage clearly without fingerprints on the screen. It was easy to apply. ALOT easier than the old type where you can get fingerprints on the sticky side using the tape pieces and trying to lift it back up and position it correctly over holes or buttons. I have ordered more of these for my other devices. Won't use the other screen protectors that you have to peel off and place, and lift because it's not straight, then place and lift, etc. You get my meaning. Great product!!!!

This is my 4th purchase of this brand of product, but my first one for a Kindle Voyage. I have always loved the ease of application, the durability of the product and the security of the warranty. This time I learned that this product is reasonably durable enough to be removed from my first Voyage (which turned out to be defective) and then reapplied to my replacement Voyage. While it isn't perfect (random finger smudge and a cat hair), it is perfectly good for use...which made me quite happy to not have to buy a new shield as it wasn't the shield's fault for the reapplication need.I will definitely be buying this product again.

This is my second or third ArmorSuit screen protector. The installation process works well. Watch the video first and it's pretty straight forward. I find it useful to install these in a bathroom with the shower running on hot. The steam keeps dust down and helps get a clean install.The biggest thing I love about these is the way they feel. Cheaper plastic screen guards make a high end phone feel like cheap crap. Tempered glass doesn't work very well on textured surfaces. The tactile sensation for this one in particular is in my opinion slightly nicer than the original face. The original is very hard. This has just a little bit of softness making it much nicer to touch.I will say that if a tiny bit of grit gets stuck during installation you need to rinse it off. You can't pick it off with tweezers without causing way more harm than good.Other than that, buy this (and any other ArmorSuit protector) with the utmost confidence.
