Spigen Tough Armor [Extreme Protection Tech] Designed for Galaxy S21 Ultra Case (2021) - Gunmetal

LG v20, iPhone X, iPhone SE, S21+, S21 Ultra. These are all of the phones I’ve had that use this case spanning over 6 years. This is the best case you can put your phone in, period. Pretty grippy, not tacky looking, kickstand is a bonus and it’s cheap. I have never broken a phone in this case and never think I will because it’s designed so well.The moment I switched from this case to a Spigen liquid air, I broke my first phone since 2015 (that phone was a note 5 in an incipio case). Simply put, the Samsung phones with the curved edges of the screen are delicate. So in the scenario that the phone is impacted in that edge you’re nearly guaranteed to break it. The liquid air, and the stylus case that spigen sell are not designed to take an edge impact from a drop. This one is, so this will stay on my phone and future phones until they stop making it.

This case fits my S21 Ultra very well. The backside is taller than the camera lenses, which is nice to keep the lenses from laying on surfaces. The little kickstand on the back is kind of flimsy and only works for horizontal support. The kickstand also pops off easily, but snaps back into place easily as well.The front of the case does not interfere with the screen protector. Also the case is easily removed to clean your phone.The edges and corners of the phone seem to be well protected. The buttons are easy to push as that part of the case is rubber.All and all I am happy with this case for my S21 Ultra.

I was really looking for a cool kickstand case, but every other manufacturer is obsessed with that stupid ring "kickstand like thing" in the middle of the back of the phone which ruins wireless charging.I was happy to come across this one because the kickstand, while seeming like it may break at any moment, is strong enough to the hold the phone up in a shallow as a well as a steep position if you flip the phone around.The holes are perfectly placed and the charging hole is a little larger to accommodate all cord types, although I usually wirelessly charge right through the case. I also like the power button having a little grip so you can feel the difference between that and the volume buttons. Highly recommend.

edit: I have owned one Spigen before, a blue one. The paint scratched off over a couple years and I replaced it. Here I am, buying them again...and the paint is scratching off only a month into owning it. It seems the rivets on my jeans scratch the case or something? idk... I've gotta start thinking about a replacement already.It's purely cosmetic but the white coming out from the gunmetal is really ugly.Beyond that:The Kickstand works fineThe S21 ultra has a curved edge and the Spigen does a good job covering the sides of it. It's a tough job that Spigen does well herecamera looks well protectedI'm confident this will handle most dropsFeels good to hold. All buttons press nicely.It's thin compared to most other cases with this level of protectionPowershare works but I find it is very difficult to charge my watch vs without the case.After a few weeks of use it has survived one drop onto a sidewalk, and I was quite nervous to drop this on an average sidewalk because the case' grip on the phone is not very tight, but it survived without a scratch even to the case. I'd say this case will handle probably 90% of drops. The lips on the top and bottom are too flush with the front.

The case fit the phone really well. I haven't drop tested it yet, but I'm hoping it will protect the phone. It seems well designed and built.

I had a caseology case before this one which was pretty thin and this is just slightly thicker but it's still a perfect fit and thin. Goes in and out of the pocket nice for anyone wondering. The glass screen protector I have still fits perfect, no lifting. I'd bet this is the best case for a galaxy s21 ultra, buy it if your looking into this case. Can't go wrong. 👍

I will forever be buying Spigen cases. I had my first one for my LG V30, and it proved to be the most durable case I've ever owned. Not to mention it has a friggin' kickstand! Anyway, the new tough armor version for the S21 Ultra has been fantastic so far. It has been updated since my last Spigen case and now has actual foam padding inside the case for further shock absobency and insulation. It's sleek and comes in gunmetal. Great case for the price. The S21 Ultra is kind of a funny phone in its design, as the camera sensor and lenses just out a bit from the body of the phone. I was worried the case would sit flush with the cameras, but it actually gives you a few millimeters of buffer between the lenses and whatever surface you set your phone on.Worth the money. I'd buy it again and I even convinced my coworker to get one for his S21 ultra.

I've had this case on my S21 ultra since 2021. It's a bit heavy, a bit blocky, BUT I've dropped my phone SO many times, on SO many surfaces and it's still flawless. Not a scratch anywhere. Kickstand still works and clicks into place, side buttons are large and still clicky. Probably the best case I've ever had.Could be thinner and lighter , but I'm certain my phone would have been completely broken if it was. This case was basically my insurance as I chose to opt out. So. It's a good case for sure.
