Vic Firth Heavy Hitter Basspad (HHPBASS)

My daughter just made the bass drum line for her high school and I bought her this practice pad. It arrived earlier than expected and is a solid piece of equipment. She loves it and says the bounce is perfect. It fit my cymbal stand with no problem. We have no complaints and only good things to say about it.

This is a super nice product, but if you don’t hit it in the center of the pad it make a loud ringing metal sound. Going to make a stand for it- I’m sure they sell one but I feel like making it

My daughter is thrilled with this. She has marching band auditions tomorrow for Marching Bass, which is not an instrument that one can purchase without spending a serious amount of money (not to mention a harness or stand would be needed as well!) She can practice on a snare or snare practice pad, but it is not the same. I found this last week and she has practiced several extra hours just this weekend on it. It mounted easily on a cymbal stand we already owned, and I am told has the right resistance and width to mimic the bass drum. Highly recommended!

bought this for my son, but ended up sending it back. it's a shame, because it's a great concept, but...there was an incredibly distracting and annoying ringing sound every time the pads were hit.

Great practice device. My son plays base drum for The Michigan State Spartans. He is also with the Madison Scouts DCI Drum and Bugle Core.

It's very nice but I feel the amount of rebound you get is inaccurate to the bass 4 I play. If you play basses 0-2 this is a great purchase for you

My son reported the feel of the pad is similar to the bass drum. It does echo a bit, which he tamed with tape
