Love this knife
I use this knife on duty and it has exceeded my expectations as an LEO. Good hold, excellent edge retention, firm strength, good length, it ticks all my needs and fits well in knife pockets on duty pants. I have about 20 knives and while it's not the most expensive, it's a favorite.

Great knife at a great price
I really like this knife. Bought it as an EDC, and though it's a bit large, which is fine, it sets fairly well in my pocket. The one-handed assisted open works great, with both deployment methods, thumb studs or flipper, and closes, one handed, just as easily. The large handle gives you plenty of grip space and feels comfortable in the hand. The Tanto style blade has a nice thickness to it, a bit of recurve, and nice wide serrations, and seems to hold it's edge very well. So, for the the price I'd say it's a good buy.

My daughter loves it!
Purchased as a present for my daughter. She is an equestrian and often needs a knife handy at the barn. I bought her this one as a replacement and she loves it.

Right hand dominate, heavy, liner lock release is dangerous, w/non-reversible clip
EDC? I wanted a less-expensive EDC knife to replace the Benchmade I've been carrying for years. If you're right-handed and want to carry a heavy (though probably strong) pocket knife that takes TWO HANDS to close the blade, this may be for you. You can open it one-handed with the attached bilateral stud buttons, but closing it is another matter. It came to me very stiff and hard to open with the stud buttons, though the "flipper button" on the blade is functional. I used a T9H star driver to loosen the tension screw, (one 360 turn) and added silicone grease to make it "flippable".The Smith & Wesson has a non-reversible clip, making it for most a right-handed mount, and a liner lock (versus the Benchmade and Spyderco button release) which puts one's fingers in the way of a closing and very sharp blade. Ouch! The S&W is twice as heavy as my Benchmade, which also has a serrated blade, and with a much safer two-sided button release away from the blade, and a one-handed closure. The Benchmade doesn't have the "stout thickness" of the S&W blade, but I don't need that much weight either. I carry the Benchmade daily, and it's twice the price (or more) of the S&W. I also carry the Spyderco on the opposite side of my jeans. I carry two knives and that's my personal choice. Biggest concern about the S&W is not the pocket clip, nor the weight. It's the release for the blade, A LINER LOCK. IT TAKES TWO HANDS to close it, and puts one's fingers in the way of a closing blade. The Benchmade and Spyderco both have push button releases that allow a safer one-handed closure. For $40 it's not a bad investment, and will keep it in my truck, but I'm not going to carry it, certainly not as an EDC.

This is an Excellent Knife
Incredible value. Awesome everyday carry. This is a solid knife with some weight to it. The blade is sharp and has held up nicely to some abuse.
