I had fun building it, but 12 volt AC is useless to me.
I think the listing should be more clear that this device requires a 12v AC power supply. I was planning to run it off a 12 volt battery so it won't work for my project. It came with no directions at all, and I couldn't find any online, but the circuit board had the parts layout printed on it clearly and it was easy to figure out. My kit also didn't come with knobs for the pots as shown in the listing, but that's not too big of a deal to me. The 12v AC input is a show-stopper.

Small device packs a big punch
I was surprised with this build and how well it sounds and the output stated is exactly what it's doing at less than .05% distortion at 90% volume on 4ohm speakers, this is going to work perfectly in my wood boom box build. Just be aware it requires ac transformer with center tap or 2 transformers in series phase matched,or of course a slight modification can be made to run on dc if inclined. Happy building!!
