Emgo 40-37600 Replacement Ignition Switch

I needed to cut one of the wires and solder it to the other ones to get this to work right on my '76 Honda CB750k, but otherwise it works as advertised. It's a little tight at first but it loosens up over time. Good looking, fit right in and the wire harness fit nice and tight.

I purchased this switch for my 1976 Honda XL350 even though Amazon states it would not fit. I just figured it was probably just a CYA statement since the bike was so old. My switch was a four wire square plug so I took a gamble and bought it.Well the switch does indeed fit in the mounting bracket on the bike and also plugged into the factory wiring harness. That's where the good news ends. The switch is wired differently than the OEM switch. In fact it's wired backwards. The bike would start in the "off" position.I did eventually get the switch to work for my application but it required quite a bit of modification.So just a heads up, not all Hondas are the same.

This ignition switch was exactly what I was looking for. I'm rebuilding an old Honda CB750 and I needed an ignition switch that had two separate circuits so that power going to certain lights and components is properly fused (I bought a different 3-wire ignition switch initially, and in the run position all three wires had continuity which would bypass my fuse box if I used it).This Emgo switch has the exact configuration I was looking for. The operation of the switch feels nice and smooth and when the key is in either of the two positions, it cannot be extracted. Perfect!

Works great and easy to install.

I replaced my 70' cl350 with this switch. The ends are different i but just put a spade connector or the factory harness wires and plugged them in. It works great and saved me alot of money!

Worked great, as described, shipped quickly. I used this to replace my bulky CX500 ignition.
